Russia has been one of the most powerful states of the globe for the last many centuries. She has exercised her strength in the World Wars too, and emerged as one of the two super-powers of the world for many decades. After the US conspiracies during 1980s, Russia suffered disintegration and internal turmoil. Thus she lost her position as super power. It really disturbed the balance of power in the international sceario. But the great Russian Bear is waking up again to realise its status with the speech delivered by Vladimir Putin in Munich. Russian regulatory system will support the world in establishing peace and harmony again.

From a Bible prophecy perspective, Russia, China, And maybe India are identified as the kings of the east. They will be very powerful, especially as allies. A third of all the earths population lives in these three countries. But, their time is not yet. The major confrontation will be between the European Union (king of the north) and the king of the south (identified as Iran and radical Islam). Bible prophecy says that the the king of the south will push at the king of the north and the king of the north will come at them like a whirlwind (blitzkrieg?) and soundly defeat them. Then they will decide to take on the kings of the east and the king of the north will be getting wiped out. Then, at that point Jesus will return and the kings of the north and south will unite to try to destroy Him. You can see these power blocs forming if you watch for it. The EU (king of the north)will eventually be consolidated to ten nations or groups of nations (The thinking is five from Europe and five from the former soviet republics). They will probably be led by Germany or a german and highly influenced by the vatican. The king of the south (Iran)is already pushing at the EU and is preparing to consolidate as soon as Iraq becomes available. The territory for the king of the south will range from Algeria, across the top of Africa (Libya, Egypt, etc) to Iran. I would not be surprised if the entire region of east and south east asia consolidate into the kings of the east. Look for this to erupt in the next three to five years or sooner.

Russia has always played a formidable part in world history. All its foreign polocies have been observed with keen interest. It is therefore it must come forward to check the Bush's war strategies to bring the world towards peaceful solutions of the disputes.

Biblical and Quranic prophecies are very much similar. We believe that holy Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) will re-arrive on earth to clean it from the evil. Also, one of the descendent of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)i.e. Imam Mahdi will also appear from heavens and both will be identified in the Middle East. Both the holy personalities will have to face the strong opposition of West and its Eastern alliances. But they will be successful in purifying the world. They will rule the world and after that, the Day of Resurrection will come at last. The traditions, history and scriptures of all the three Abrahamic religions i.e. Jews, Christians and Muslims are nearly one and the same, and I wonder why all the three are at daggers drawn for centuries??..Also, all the three face sectarianism in themselves too, and seldom agree even with the sects of their own religion.Please register or login to comment!
