Need for Unity of Abrahamic Religions

When source of scriputures is one and the same, Creator, prophets, angels and description are same, when traditions and saints are same, why should we stand pole apart at the point of no return???...The three Heavenly/Abrahamic religions must unite to welcome holy Christ on his second arrival, as well as the spiritual leader Mehdi, a descendent of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on his second arrival too. Christ would appear in Syria, while Mehdi would appear in Mecca, according to our sources.
  • I don't think so..
People can't even agree on the scriptures that they follow within their own beliefs, how would they ever be able to agree with different scriptures? Besides, there is only one true religion and everyone will know what that is in the very near future.

  • different and one true one
There of course, and all these believe in much different things. The violence is uncalled for but it happens because of difference in believe. It might be all sort of point to the same God somewhat, but it's very different. some Christians, think Muslims are crazy, and full of hatred. Well, they have lots in belief. Although they belief there's is the only religion, the requirement for going to heaven is very different. christian Protestants believe that in order to go to heaven you have to see yourself to Gods gifted wich he extends, and we have to take it. If he that don't take it and isn't saved by him, and doesn't excepts that Jesus is our savior, and saved us all from sin, therefore they do not go to heaven. We have to take his gift, get saved by him, and except that Jesus is our savior dying on the cross for sins. I understand the other religions requirements are different. So see even if we tried we wouldn't be able too, it's too different.

  • Differences are Necessary
Certainly there are thing that unite these faiths, but there are some fundamental differences. Without regard to doctrine, these faiths are diferent by design. Judaism and Islam are communal reigions meant to provide a people with a unique cultural identity. With such religions, it is the unique rituals that give them substance. Christianity, in contrast, is a philisophic religion much like classic Budhism. The emphasis of these religions is upon an individual's spiritual journey, worldview and behavior. In theory, Christianity should be slightly different for each believer. Rituals aroseout of historical developmeny, and the need of the early church and Roman Empire to spread the faith across cultural barriers. Thereore, the differenses in these religions are central to their purpose, but the violence and hatred that arise from them are not.

  • A need does not constitute a possiblity
Besides, why would we want to strengthen people who are anti-reason? The best way to control the mob mentality is by pitting them against eachother. It makes them weaker. So keep the Arab factions fighting with one another, keep the Jews and Arabs at one another's throats-- while they're fighting, America will steal their oil to supply an indulgent lifestyle they'll never enjoy.
