Money For War In Iraq But Very Little For Starvation

I'm totally pissed off. I mean let's get real for a minute. The U.S. government always guards those purse strings very carefully when it really does not affect them but by damn let them be involved in a war and they'll find as much money as they wish to find. Apparently there is a bottom of the barrel only in certain situations.

Damn, unlimited money to fight a stupid war but very little if any at all to fight starvation. The government is giving new meaning to the phrase "cut off you nose to spite your face". Why not fight wars worth fighting....like world wide starvation?

    You must consider the fact that most if not all of the food sent to fight starvation in third world countries is taken by the military or militia forces in those countries. Or the countries put so much restrictions on incoming aid that much of it rots in warehouses where only the rats eat well. Greed, avarice, and politics are what keeps people starving. As long as people must compete for positions of power, there will be no change. It will get a whole lot worse before it gets better and the only way out is to pray without ceasing.

    Militaries STEAL our aid. Therefore save it for our OWN miliarty actions and reconstruction efforts/profits in other countries that don't even really need the aid?

    Do airdrops of pure food. Medical supplies to hospitals. What's the military gonna do with spoiled food and a complete abundance of wasted medical supplies?

    Send threats/troops that if they don't "spread the wealth" to what we're BUYING, we'll take appropriate force. We're making an economic deal. Spending money on specific people. Regulated. If they STEAL it, we'll punish them as we see fit. For a much better cause than we're doing now.

    Do you think that our congress is just so ignorant of this, that they just let people stave to death? You are more close minded than you would like to admit. Many people try sending aid to thaese people all the time. Noone in their right mind likes this to happen. But the problem is, it can't be stopped that easily. A lot of the food given is taken away by corrupted governments. If you really want to make a difference, go here
