I don't think Satan, as a person, exists. I'm a pagan so I don't really exactly know the details. But I do know that Satan is the Christian name for all things negative. I'd say; name it whatever you like.

satan is explained in the bible as one of gods fallen angels he became prideful and thought that he could become equal to, or even higher than God. As the story goes, he convinced a third of the angels to go along with him in his rebellion, but was overcome and cast down to the earth along with those who followed him

Lucifer was his true name and he was an Arch Angel. Meaning he was a general leading many legions of Cherubim.

Sounds like this person hasn’t done any research before commenting. MUCH MORE evidence than just a book. First the Bible is timeless, in its guidance. No other book can boast this throughout history. Secondly; the archeological evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of it’s general claims through history. Thirdly; Science can back up evry aspect of it’s descriptions and math can reveal genetic codes within its pages. It IS the LIVING Word of God after all.

He roams the Earth seeking whom he may devour! according to Gods word. He was banished from Heaven and cast out. He resides on Earth as master of physical manipulation and spiritual temptation. These powers were handed over to him by Adam and Eve in the garden, when they first; allowed him to tempt the king and queen of Earth and then by disobeying God they gave up their rulership to Satan. This is why he can manipulate physical objects and cannot possess an unwilling human, but can tempt that human to do things.

They are called dark angels or demons. They roam the Earth as legions. Each legion has a title and roll. For example: Legion of lies and liars, Legion of murder and murderers, etc. These demons are assigned to specific temptations and foolery. Some legion are commanded to be ghosts, others to posess the vulnerable for a short period. MANY legions are assigned to do kind, generous and wonderful things and this will fool many humans.

He is a master trickster.He delights the most in the antics of the devout.While the believers in God are fully convinced that they are saved by their faith,they are actually taken in by the devil.

In any case,he is much more powerful than helpless God whom he has banished from the world.

I think Satan is symbolic and has no power over us beings. Satan is an example, a statue or perhaps just a word with a meaning. Satan is an accuser, a liar, the bringer of light..I dont think of him as a spirit or a God or a diety you worship, nope.

I think there is something of pure evil that tempts us to the other side whether it be a being or spirt or both i don't no. but i do think there is something that whispers into our ears. turns things to tempt us. i also think its how you see the word. i see it as something of pure evil. not as a metaphor but as something you take note of and stay away from.

Satan will exist as long as mankind refuses to take responsibility for the evil which he commits. The same as God exists as long as mankind refuses to accept that he is capable of creating his own reality. Satan is man's SCAPEGOAT. Like pointing at your brother when caught doing something wrong.... um... h h he made me do it! Certainly man must be tempted in order to do the wrong thing by some outside force eh? I mean... it isn't man's nature to do wicked things is it? (insert sarcastic emoticon here)

i think that satan is just a symbol of everything evil in the universe. just as god is everyone and everything good in the universe, satan is your temptation, your pride, your envy, your anger, and all evil. iono if i believe that fallen angel stuff

Of course Satan exists. He is the face you wear, when you cheat on your spouse, when you beat up on someone, He is every bad thought or act you will ever have. Whether He is an existing creature doesn't matter, as long as you are aware of the evil in yourself, than that is all the Satan you should be considered with.

No, satan does not exist. He is A christian creation, made to explain all the evil in the world, to blame someone for the 'mistake' god made. Except god didn't make any mistakes, really. He just gave us free will, and some of us are abusing that gift. By the way, this is only my beleif. I'm not dissing Christianity or anything.
