The self31% Voted for by riverdreams, 5th position Gb, xanatoz, seanbrowning, atrain. (7 total)
Egotism is looked upon as a negative thing, but I don’t believe it is. The only constant in an individual’s life is the individual’s self, he experiences every moment, every emotion, every decision.
The man who is comfortable with his self is the man to be.

There are three of equal importance.9% Voted for by Father OKnow, spasticloser.
There are three human relations that are of equal importance, your relationship with yourself, with others, and with humankind. To be a full human being you must first start with you, improving yourself. All relationships with others, from parents and siblings, other relatives, friends and aquaintences are relatively equal and extroardinarily difficult. Still, unless you work towards the good of all personkind, even those you do not even know exist, even if it’s only to find the perfect cup of coffee, you are not yet complete.

I'm not sure I understand the question, but I guess the most important relationship is with your own mind. If you're not in-touch with who you are you're going to become who other people want you to be.

Mother’s love is the deepest of all the loves;she absorbs all the grievances of her children as sea absorbs all tears of so many rivers. Mother herself suffers the hottest sun of unfavourable circumstances, and provides shadow of comfort to her children.

not any one personVoted for by Kazrith.
the one person that you need to have a good relationship is with your own mind, heart and soul. the next relationship would be to the world around you. not only to people, but to plants and animals, rocks and air.

Father + Self.Voted for by -TheLoneWolf-.
Most important are with the father and self. Who is the one who brings food to your house throught your youth (in most of families in my country at least)? Father. Who teaches you to ride a bike? Father. Who can you spend an adventorous holiday with? Father. I don't think that I have to explain the self one.

Strong point
Good point here, the person at home with him/herself is an envy to all and for good reason. Confidence, not that you are better than those around you, but that you are a worthy person is what true egotism is. A strong ego should be sought by all, it might reduce the amount of people hooked on anti-depressants and in therapy...July 12, 2005

I agree
...yah! hi!... there is a good point here about egotism.(the self) I like it. Now with Maslow's pyramid. “Social needs are first”, that means is norm, social norm, common sense “all that good stuff.” And society ridicules all that is out of norm. So, yeah! seanbrowning comment supports riverdreams quote. atrain is right by..."A strong ego should be sought by all"Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
