    When you've gotten off your high horse, Mason, you'll note that I wasn't trying to prove one sex superior over the other, or any person superior over another. All I asked was are there similarities and differences between men and women and if so, what are they?
    
    And if you really feel that way about my post, Mason "Who gives a crap?", then why did you bother posting anything on it at all? Next time when you don't like a post, just don't participate! I'd appreciate if you kept your opinion about the debate itself to yourself. Feel free to participate, share your opinion on the matter, but if you don't like the debate itself, kindly shut your howling screamer and let the people who are interested go their way. Thanks!

    More than organs

    I agree with Paradoxx. These topics are getting old. And people do need to get over themselves. No one is superior due to their gender.
    
    But, to answer your questions, Xelgaroth, males and females are different for more than just their sexual organs.
    
    Females react on feelings, hormones, and most anything socially related. That's just how we are.
    
    Males react with more thought, but not with the 'common sense' that females have. That chemical in the brain that tells males what is sensible or not doesnt fully reach the brain until 21 years of age.
    
    Im not an expert on this, and if you are seriously interested in this topic, then I suggest a website on psychology and any other media you can find that will give you answers.

      Sheesh, why does everyone thing I am trying to prove anyone is superior??? As I said all I wanted to do wask generate some ideas and opinions on the similarities and differences between males and females! The only reason I even MENTIONED the words "better than the other" was because there are some people who do think that one sex is superior, and I'd like them to participate-- however, if you look at what I said, I want them if they truly feel this way to give decent reasoning for why they feel that way, not just shallow caveman or princess complex answers. I personally don't think any one sex is superior to the other. However, I wanted the debate to be open to all ideas.
      
      And again, while I thank you for giving more information than Mason up there, I beseech you: if you don't like a debate or topic I post, just don't participate! Thank you!

    Lmao. I should appologize,I didnt put that in the kindest terms. What I'm getting at is there are so many other issues in the world...hunger,poverty,war,rape...and here while I'm trying to find ways to teach people that we're all human and should work together,I find this going "which is better?" kinda ticked me off.

    Let me explain. This debate/topic is NOT under any circumstances about which sex is better. There is, in my opinion, no such thing as a superior sex. However, there are people who do believe this, and I wanted them to participate and explain why they felt this way, provided they gave better answers than the typical "'Cause I've got a penis" or "Because all guys are stupid jerks" This debate is 99.9 percent simply a discussion on the similarities and differences between men and women. I don't even think there are any sexist people on this site, perhaps with the exception of the insufferable Brew Kline, though as said, he's an exception, and if he does feel this way, then he should give decent, thought out answers or else don't participate at all. I was simply trying to be open to all ideas. This really isn't a "who's better" topic. It's just a "how are we the same, how are we different?" kinda thing.
    
    In my opinion, like you, there's no such thing as a superior sex. I just wanted to be open to those who do, provided they use good reasoning. You're right, there are other issues in the world to discuss, and if you look at my page, I have offered for discussion numerous different topics, and this is simply one of them.

    How can you state something with scientific proof is false? sexist, yes, but thats what this whole debate is about, besides, sexist is an opinion just like all the others.

      Well Nazism is an opinion too, Mason, but does that mean that we should sit by and ignore it because it's an opinion just like all the others? The general populus can agree that certain ideas are bad and thus shun them, hence nazism for the most part is considered a bad idea, just as, at least in this country, racism, sexism, etc. Just because they're opinions doesn't mean we should ignore them.

    Actually, I think tech has a point here. I'd say at least half of these studies on the differences in male and and female brain constitution is based on junk science that was trying to explain predisposed opinions on differences. They went in with the agenda of "Ok, look at this. These chemicals. This brain activity. What about this is emotional, because this is a girl--and girls are over emotional." It's the reverse of how it's supposed to be done.
    
    Gender differences, like all personality traits, are both socially molded and naturally influenced.

    Exactly my thought. I feel as though many of these studies have been influenced by pre-conceived notions of males and females based on stereotypical assumations and views. I would also like to see the source of the evidence. Such bold statements seem quite false:

      I agree, tech. I've noticed more and more often a trend that is recurring more and more frequently. It's a "reverse sexism" Feminazism, whatever you want to call it. Where the male is the stupid fool and the woman is the beautiful intelligent one. Now I'm not trying to be paranoid and I adore women. They are equal to man. It's just a trend I've noticed more and more, that men are stupid jerks and women are smart princesses, so to speak. Now this certainly isn't a major issue and it certainly isn't something we need be worried about at all yet, but it's something that I've noticed is all.
