The difference between "acceptance" and "tolerance".

In my time, I've heard the words acceptance and tolerance cme hand in hand. Although they do usually come about at the same time I also beleive they are complete opposites. Acceptance would be either not careing about the persons beliefs and loveing them for who they are. Tolerance is almost ignorance in virtue. It gives a means of ignoring the persons beliefs entirely and ignoring the person as well most of the time. When tolerance is used it's also like a denial of anothers opinions.

Please tell me what you think about the difference between acceptance and tolerance. (or if you think there's a difference at all.)

your close to my views here. Acceptance is beliving that they have the right to do whatever the idea/action is,while tolerance is letting them do it although you disagree with the idea.
