should people give up freedom for the common good?

  • people should never give up freedom
freedom is often considered indispensable for human beings throughout the course of history, evident in the countless battles fought in revolutions for freedom, the banning of slavery, the transitions from monarchy to democracy, and the fall of many communist countries.
do you think people should give up freedom for the common good?

one shouldnt have to give up freedom for the common good

lack or opression of freedom does in no way always breed with collectivist thought like it did in socialist systems. This is a very one dimensional view of the commune based theory of existance and governing(or lack there of)

freedom can easily exist alongside the betterment of all
this is the basis of productive anarchist thought
unless you see freedom as the ability to own, in which case
    o well
i do not care for your selfish wants
and this is in no way considered a right of humanity
