Serial Killer or Vigilante?

IS it okay to kill the corrupt?

    The way I see it, there are people in this world that just don't belong, like the child molesters, crooked politicians and police officers, rapists, etc. If somebody were to kill these people, would it be looked at as an act of justice or an act of brutality? I myself se it as an act of justice, because we would be weeding out those which make society so messed up and not worth anything anyway.

    I can see all points here but I think there is a ginormous gray area. Theres been 2 times that someone has done unspeakable things to me and Ive hated them so much Ive wanted to kill them. I feel like vigilantism needs to have a limit if its going to happen. Beat someone up or key their car lol...but dont go kill them. No one in my opinion should kill another person. Law enforcement or not. For all the religious folks....isnt there a comandment forbidding killing? I understand the need for justice but why should we kill a killer? Make him suffer and live with what he did.

  • No, never right...
    It is up to an appointed court, to try the defendant. This court can then try the accused based on evidence, and do their best to not let bias creep into their final decision.

    It is then up to legal experts to decide on the most fitting punishment. In my opinion capital punishment is never justified.

    When mostly well-intentioned yet uninformed individuals try to take the law into their own hands the innocent can come off badly as a result of gossip and unproven speculations. In the UK the News of the World, (a rubbish newspaper) published the names and addresses of a list of paedophiles. This caused violent attacks against many (some of whom had not committed offences that serious- 18 year olds sleeping with 15 year olds etc) and even a hospital paeditrician was attacked by an ill-educated rabble who could not distinguish between a doctor and a child abuser based on the similar sounding names.
