Im Confused

Not making any sense

Well I don't really know where to start here. Is it just me or does the bible contradict it's self left right and center....

People that believe in God, the Son, Holy Spirit...Should be good people? So...They go to heaven! Of course number one rule is to worship god, so everything else comes after. Well lets say a Atheist does more with his life, doesn't pray to his god...Doesn't go to church, he uses that time to make himself and others around him have good happy lives, giving to charity and more. Would that not make him a better man, due to.... Christianity=Be good-Get into heaven. The best kind of giving is giving and knowing that you will not receive, therefore the Atheist has done the better deed though out his life, although he doesn't get a place in heaven due to his belief....Isn't Christianity about not judging people by Appearance, why should God judge us by our beliefs?

  And Christianity couldn't control the masses if it exposed that secret *winks*. Don't worry about it, champ. Darwin's little theory will take care of the lot eventually once their IQ's can settle below the intellectual population's and their faith can no longer keep them alive in the world they have destroyed.

Good works *vs* Salavation

Christianity=Be good-Get into heaven

Christianity = faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Yes, you should be good. By saying that I assume you are speaking of 'good works'. I understand and agree completely but good works are a by-product of a true Christian's heart, but good works in itself cannot give salvation. If good works could get you into heaven then you could achieve it by your own good works which the Bible says is impossible.

I don't know which is worse. Telling someone they have to do an arbitrary list of rules which can't be questioned in order to get into Heaven, or telling someone that no matter good they are they can't get into Heaven without picking right religion.

Luckily, much of Christianity does both at once!

Isn't it horrible that only God knows the true way to blessing and self development, and thus, out of love, wishes us to follow His path, rather than, like a rebellious child, grow into a generation of rapists and killers... Or even worse, corrupted, wounded hearts, that feel not the love they deserve. Blind us not.

I again don't know which is worse. Pretending that anyone that doesn't follow (your version of) Christianity is a rapist and killer, or thinking that being "corrupted" and "wounded hearted" that apparently happens from being in a different faith is WORSE than being a rapist or killer.

  The thing is, the atheist can not only laugh, but the Christian will also never find out. There is no revelation for the blind, either. There is only strong convictions and angry mind integrated constructs that seek to control you in a fashion that is conservative with your survival - not your freedom. Do not gloat at mind victory. Again, pure opinion. How can there be victory over the mind when you are your mind and your own opinions? Why would you want to de-construct yourself? That would be to destroy yourself (someone's one true fear, or at least a Christians in relation to their fathoming of outside cushions like heaven).

  I am your exact opposite, and I will never understand how one can live in the secluded box of objectivism without feeling a little doubtful. Such as myself, I am Mr. Doubt. I don't like my mind. I like my will, because I can seemingly identify with it. At least, illusionarily it is the strongest real component of myself, and thus I choose it over my other unchosen, alien extremities.
  
  The arguments of philosophical skepticism are infallible and therefore objectivism is fallible. There is no basis for it other than you wanting it to be reliable, and convincing yourself through using the methodologies that you have told yourself equate to knowledge. Knowledge of what? That illusions are clever at controlling you and evil demons that you cannot comprehend have isolated you and are continually tricking you to re-inforce a hyptothesis?
  
  I simply do much of the same, except, my beliefs are
  1. logically more powerfully knowledge bearing
  2. More comforting.
  
  Knowledge is seemingly unnatainable. Get over it, and get over your mind. The world was creating 5 seconds ago and you can never debase this. The problem of induction limits you to only making likely guesses that could be wrong for a number of transcendent, unforseen reasons. Stop thinking that you know everything that you think isn't and realize that some really really scary things really really could be, and you can't test it one way or the other. It's called existence, you were plunged into it, and it's a big trap. Your only escape is belief. You can hide, but this only means that you will surrender to what is revealed. Your will, once powerful, will never surrender - unless you want to. As such, you start actually making choices.
  
  I, as your new fully fledged Christian Existentialist friend, am in awe of a certain founder (Jesus, yes, most certainly), and Soren Kierkegaard.

I think you often misread me Weydon. While you like things to be nice and logical, you then assert that your logic dominates, and thus is why sometimes you can see only one side of an argument. There is no attempt here to logically and ethically surmise a wounded heart as worse than being a rapist or killer - my writing seeks to only emphasise through persuasion, the point of man's infallibility.

Let us more so debate the question: Is man able to be solely dependent from God in his current state, and is this best for him (assuming God wants what is best for man)?

This is probably more suitable than the loaded religion argument. Starting with this as a basis we throw away our convulsions towards particular standards of hate and automatic judgement and potentially start thinking clearly (possibly, let's hope).

If we think about God's assumed nature: He is much like us, though He has been around for a long time, and has probably experienced a multitude of experiences far greater than our own. He is, per se, wise. Fair analysis?

Man... In comparison to God, assumedly, may share traits similar to His (as would be Biblically suggested), but nevertheless, comparable to God's wisdom still has a lot to learn. Now of course we can assert all sorts of things that would justify simply letting our own destinies take their own course and we will learn in due time; but we can also take the initiative and try to learn a couple of things from one far wiser than ourselves, without being arrogant know-it-alls like some 4 year old child.

So, God, in His wisdom, would probably know, rationally surmised, what is better for us than we would ourselves. Now I know this has some sort of "He wants to control me I want my own life" loadedness, but if you analyze it without some malist ideology you can see that it actually has some benefit. Like a child that needs to learn from a parent so that they may be blessed when having to face the world and in wisdom, rather than simply candy, God can provide a service - some of it is unavoidable and He will look after you whether you want Him to or not, some, you will need to ask.

I guess what I am getting to is that those who earnestly believe that God has assigned certain revealed ideals and standards as a means of finding wisdom and blessing, and an enriched existence, through such things as Biblical influence, then I only hope that when they suggest this tool of betterment to others that it comes not from a clingy or malice nature, but rather it comes from a desire to see their fellow man blessed as well... Much like you may tell a mate to stop doing something stupid and steer him back on the right track (gently, no Bible bashing now! )

I feel as though I had to explain a fairly simple concept and make it sound rather complex, but sometimes, what is staring you right in the face just isn't on your mind... Particularly when you hear words such as God, Jesus, Bible.
