3 Greatest Lessons

What are the three greatest lessons you've learned in your life? Anything. I'm doing this for a project. Please contribute! ^_^ And please don't vote, please make your own, even if yours are similar.

  • Be. Love. Go.
    1) Existence is a gift. Take nothing for granted; find the beauty of existence itself. "Every shadow, every leaf, even strands of pain."

    2) Love first. If you love first, much of the rest comes easy. Love conquers fear and finds a way. Love saves. 1Corinth 13.

    3) Never give up. Never betray yourself. Don't let go of the things that make you who you are. Fight on. Dream on.

  • In no particular order:
Keeping in mind I've only yet made it to adolesence:

1.) once I fell in love, and learnt to view my friends objectively, I realised that half the relationships I'd ever formed never really had to happen

2.) after going through a phase of trying to fit in with a crowd I liked - I realised who you are and how you want to be seen should always be the same thing, but often aren't. I then dressed and talked only as came naturally, and had more success with popularity (not trying, not wanting it anymore).

3.) opinions, including that of yourself, are allowed to change. People learn things, nothing is constant as we always build new experiences, and it's ridiculous to try and uphold an old view that you now know to be incorrect. Or an old self, for the embarassment of being seen to contradict who you were.

And as a number four I suppose, that even having learnt the lessons, there are still times that I fail them.

  • Here's my three choices:
I saw a few lessons that appeal to me in your opinions, but others do not comply with my life, so I'll put my three basic things I've learned:
    1. If you have an opinion, never underestimate it and keep it until you have the courage and reasons to say it.
    2. Keep telling yourself that everything is fine, even if it isn't, it helps to realize that things have a good side as they have a bad one.
    3. Feelings are very important, probably as much as opinions and reasonable thoughts. You have to learn how to handle them and also to enjoy them.

  • My 3 Lessons
The three lessons that I've learned that mean the most:

}Pray. -For me, whether in a good situation or a bad one, it helps to know that God is always there. Prayer works if you truely believe and leave it in God's hands.

}Listen. -You can learn a lot by just listening. You can learn how people really are and how people really feel.

}Let go. -There are things in life that you will want to dwell on, but in order to be a happier person, you must learn to let go and allow things to change. Some things just need to be forgotten in order to live.

--These are my opinions. I hope I helped you out.

Apologize even if you are too stubborn to do so -- if you stick stubbornly to something it usually means you need to say sorry, even if you think you don't need too.

If the smoke-detector goes off, it usually means the food is done!

    2. Love yourself and your peers because you never know when one's going to be gone.

    3. Enjoy the time you have right now. Don't live for the future, because if you don't get through the present, you'll never get to what you're living for.
