An Inconvenient HellHow could God allow imperfection to exist, or let corrupt or imperfect people exist-why isn't everyone perfect today inquiring minds wonder, in fact why is the Universe itself imperfect with changes and mortality...how can God let people go to hell as a consequence of imperfection? Why does the potter break imperfect pots?Voted for by GaryCGibson.
The One emanated all things that become material reality. Through metaphysics layers of protocol eventual a material Universe may come into existence spoken by The Intelligence or Word of God to inflate along with space-time. From the beginning of the Universe and a possible Higgs field uncertainty or imperfection existed. Even in a hypothetical recursive Universe recurring in space-time it is imperfection that allows change for why would anything perfect ever change. The unmoved mover is a perennial paradox-for why would The One emanate anything in the first instance?
In the context of the Absolute Oneness of God who has three Persons for human purposes of the Word or Spirit and the Son who became mankind with a fleshly body why was the Universe and humanity created? Is it just another aspect of the fullness of God, and of His omnipotence and omniscience? For human beings to exist as imperfect beings with imperfect forms in an imperfect Universe imperfection and fault exists...it is only though transcendent faith in God that humans may surpass the limits of their existence as imperfect beings and have faith that reaches beyond and receives the trans-temporal, trans-spatial relationship with The One through the Son Jesus Christ. For human beings to mature in experience they may exist in an imperfect universe and encounter the problems of existence that challenge the spirit of the individual, and in so doing God has allowed character development to occur. It may be that character development as a way to better the finite human being mind, experience and life is a purpose of God. God in the fullness of His omnipotence may prefer his created beings to have more quality character development and become as real and functional as possible, yet the ultimate nature of The One cannot be comprehended by mortal men or women. Humanity may have a relationship with Jesus Christ and in Him they have seen the essential, knowable attributes of The One.
The down side of an imperfect Universe is that a full cast of characters is require, as a full range of temperature possible is required to allow variations in temperature. Night must follow day and hate is another side of the emotional range humanity has to the opposite love. Along with the saved and the savable are the unsaved and the unsavable. Those determined for certain destinies must follow their roles though they know them not.
The Christian forecaster of the rapture for May 21st 2011 and end of the world for Oct. 21st 2011 talked about hell. He said that at the Day of Judgment for the unsaved the resurrection of the damned will bring everyone in human history that wasn't saved to life in a humiliating, horrid public misery for a time, then they shall all be destroyed completely forever. So hell or eternal torment my not actually exist for them. As broken, imperfect forms unsaved and unable to establish that transcending faith in Jesus Christ and receive His saving grace and blood payment into an adopted perfection the lost will be removed from the return unto a closer relationship with The One that shall continue forever under the rule of Jesus Christ.
It is not practical for me to know when the end of days is, yet one should always be ready for the return of God in person to the Earth establlishing in practice what the Apostle Paul wrote of in ... "1 Corinthians 13
1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."

God never changes within our understanding. So much faith we need to muster for as you said "the ultimate nature of The One cannot be comprehended by mortal men or women. Humanity may have a relationship with Jesus Christ and in Him they have seen the essential, knowable attributes of The One."
