  yes, this is true, but those were people who applied imagination into real life. some people abandon real life entirely and wallow in imaginary hogslop 24/7. i know a guy who is in his thirties, who dropped out of high school, lives with his mother, almost never has a job,(usually quits within a month if he does get one), cannot afford rent, food or soap evidently (yes, he stinks) yet somehow has every current D&D book, and has a massive D&D library (in spite of the fact he totally sucks as a DM, and nobody wants to game with him)
  
  I know another who lives with his wife (who pays all of the bills with her social security check, since she is disabled) This guy spends ALL of his time playing online in role playing games, so much so that people complain about the smell of the apartment, because he won't come away from the computer long enough to take the trash out (or shower, either. his BO could kill a bull moose) his wife is having to do all the housework AND take a part time job, WHILE she is disabled just so his selfish, gluttonous ass can sit at the computer and slurp down fast food.
  
  both of these guys are so lazy, they wouldn't take a shit if they could get somebody else to do it for them, both of them are so selfish, they would take a bowl of rice from an Etheopean, then ask for soy sauce to put on it.
  These are people I DON'T want to be ANYTHING like, and if I had to give up D&D to make sure I didn't become like them, I would.

  aye, but would such things as the law of gravity or the light bulb have been discovered/invented if people did not live in a fantasy world?
