Who Thinks Allphilosophy is Filled With Too Many Idiots?

Is Allphilosophy filled with extremely biased, unreasonable people?
Is it all just people trying to push their hatred or love over their interpretation of the Bible in line with varying beliefs.
Do all the same questions get asked over and over again with the same go-nowhere arguments?
Is there a point to Allphilosophy besides fighting?
Has anyone really benefited from Allphilosophy or do you think that you're the one who is benefitting everyone else with your immense wisdom?
  • I Dislike Philosophy to Begin With.
I initially liked philosophy, it was interesting, it blew my mind. Then, I realized what philosophy was... a lot of hot air. It is meaningless to me. Dialethiesm, trivialism, LNC. Is everything true?! Is nothing true?! What is true?! Men use "logic" to overcomplicate every last seemingly simple idea.

I do not dismiss the brilliant ideas that have come through specific and meaningful meditation. I just am so weary of men who pick an argument only to leave the subject a dematerialized mess with no plans on making sense of anything. They just want you to know that you're simple-minded.

Bible readers will understand the warnings Paul gives about philosophy.

As far as Allphilosophy goes... and for many of its members, I don't have anything against it, I just become frustrated when I read some of the topics and the following responses. I just hope everyone really trys to understand instead of just typing whatever they feel. I don't think anyone's an idiot, but there may be some people who are confused and just don't know it yet. Myself included.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.--- Douglas Adams

I've been waiting for you, Obi-wan. We meet again at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now I am the master.--- Darth Vader

  • Idiots?
    Idiots, no.

People who lack the ability to reason and carry a decent conversation? People who claim to be the latest messiah? Yes.

I dont know if its filled with incredibly unbiased and unreasonable people so much as people who believe in what they are talking about. There are few things I wont budge on exactly but if I think Im right I push my point lol. Whether I am or not. Very few times do I continue to fight even when I realize Im wrong.

Isnt it better to have a bunch of people happy in what they believe than a whole lot of people completely confused and waiting for the next hitler to tell them what to believe???

  • Right vs. Wrong
Philosophy is ultimately about right vs. wrong and tolerance.

There's no such thing as a definite for right and wrong. Right and wrong are in the eye of the beholder.

And while I support the Bible and most of its teachings, other people do not. They don't understand that their opinion isn't the only one, but those that do understand difference of views and such are tolerant. This is one of philosophy's important spots that has been dubbed out over the years.

  • It's a world wide problem.
Idiots are everywhere, always have been, and always will be. Your question proves it.
