if some one is a serial killer should they be allowed to sit on death row. should we let them live after they've comited a horrible crime or should they imediatly be killed. if we let them live is it really justice for the victims family.

Keep them in...
I believe they should be kept in prison for life, with the option of execution should they desire it.

only one problem with killing them:
if YOU kill them, then surely you are just as bad as they are, i mean seriously, you can't kill someone because they killed someone else. it's immoral and you won't really have proved your point that ALL killing is wrong. don't be a hypocrite.

all death sentences
should be automatically appealed to the supreme court, if sentence is upheld, execution within the month. if overturned , the appropriate sentence, if any, should be forthwith. I also believe in making executions public, so that people can see what happens to murderers

And imagine how you would feel
When after you deny them time for an appeal, they find the person was actually innocent.

You are barbarous human things!
Don't you see that hate breeds more hate? If we don't want someone around then we shouldn't kill them, we're not God so we shouldn't make the choice of who stays and who goes. But I think that if you don't want some one around, make them LEAVE. Drop them off on some island reserved for serial killers. Not a resort island with hotels, just some island we never go to unless we're dropping off more serial killers. "Live out your life the way you want, but do it away from us killer person dude". That's what we would tell them if everyone was from so. cal.

i believe they should die.
i think that if someone has killed another person in cold blood they should be killed in the same manner that there victim was murdered in. it would cut down on all the killings and it would give justice to the victim and their familie.

The death penalty is pointless!
The death penalty is barbarous, and also pointless.
Give a killer a nice last meal and let him die gently and painlessly in a bed?
Where's the punishment in that? You're only punishing the family of the murderer cos you're taking away their loved one. Locking them up in an uncomfortable cell for life is a lot more of a punishment than killing them so they dont have to suffer anything anymore.
Life is harder than endless sleep. So whats the point in punishing someone with death?

It is more likely however that you were arguing that jail is a pleasant experience. Perhaps you talk from experience? Please elaborate if this is the case.
Yet I am going to make the pre-supposition that you have not. Jail is by no means a pleasant experience. Freedom is removed, hygiene and living conditions are poor. The company you keep is terrible with high instances of violence and even sexual abuse.
When it comes to serial killers, there seems to be very little hope of turning their life around I will admit. Yet making prisons hell-holes for everybody is not productive in preventing re-offending rates, it simply panders to the cheap emotion of revenge.
I am afraid your taxes are being used on many things that are worse. Your taxes pay for the incarceration of drug possessors, of whom otherwise could have lived relatively normal lives - often holding down a job and therefore paying taxes themselves.

To suggest that God is the one who puts people into positions of power is ridiculous and horrorfying. Remember that Hitler guy, for instance?
