is having sex before marriage wrong and sinful.
-
Not exactly sure.
I haven't seen anything biblically that states that premarital sex is a sin.
But I believe that the outcome of waiting is much more worth it.
Plus that's just how unwanted pregnancies and STD's happen.

I think it's fine.
As long at the two parties are both consensual. But then you have the problem of 'but she said yes' coming from a fifty year old man in regards to a twelve year old girl. There has to be a line drawn, but I'm sure society would draw a line if this scenario was the case.
After all, it really does boil down to what other people think, doesn't it?

Not at all
This seems to be another one of those classic liberal vs. conservative issues like homosexuality where one side says it's fine as long as it's with consenting adults and the other says no because it says so in the bible.
Personally I can't see any reason at all why there is anything wrong with it, in fact it annoys me quite a lot when these bible bashers go round telling people what they're doing in their own time in their private lives is a sin and they're going to hell, I just think, how is it wrong, where's the victim? It's fine as long as it's consensual and between adults - they're not harming anybody else.
Using the reason 'because it's in the bible' or 'God says so' is in my opinion just not good enough, you need to have real reasons about how it causes any real damage.

biblicaly speaking
Untill you have had sex, according to biblical principle , you are not married, once you have , you are married, and if you then have sex with another , as long as one of you live, the insuing adultry is the sin

sin- maybe, unwise- yes
first off, i cannot claim moral high ground here. before i was married, i had sex. so if it's a sin, i too am guilty of it.
the bible does warn against it, but i think more as a word to the wise. unmarried sex leads to unwanted pregnancy. and single parenthood, which is not the best situation for mother or child. it also is largely responsible for the spread of STDs, worst of all AIDS.Sex is better with someone you are committed to, and best with someone you are married to. trust me. i enjoy sex much more now that i'm married, than i ever did when i was fooling around.

not sure.
i think in some cases yes but in others im not so sure. i mean if you love someone and plan to be with them forever is it truely wrong to sleep with them before getting married.

What is Marriage?
Marriage really is an economic thing. You can be with someone all your life and not be "Married" People change, relationships change, and as you know divorce is no walk in the park, so how can premarital sex be a sin? Shouldn't unhappiness in a "Holy Matrimony" be more of one?

THE FIRST EPISTLE OF ST. PAUL TO THE CORINTHIANS 6 18 Fly fornication. Every sin that a man doth is without the body: but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
THE FIRST EPISTLE OF ST. PAUL TO THE CORINTHIANS 7 2 But for fear of fornication, let every man have his own wife: and let every woman have her own husband.

Who thinks the book is infallable?
It was written by MAN, but it's influenced by God. Man is fallable. And since the Protestant reformation, many Bibles do not even have the books of Maachabees(spelling?) and the Epistle of Paul. That alone should say something. I understand that some people act like the Bible is entirely the "infallable" word of God but please, no stereotyping.Weydon
