yes, our perception (what we receive through our senses) is thought to relay to us what we experience. and our mind works with a few 'short-cuts' so what we perceive isnt actually "real" but we see it as "real". so no-one experiences this abstract idea of "reality", but we each have our own reality (eg. is the colour blue you see the same as what i see? no way to tell). i've read a paper based on the idea of "brains in a vat". whose to say i am not simply a brain in a vat, since everything i perceive is relayed in my brain? there i sno way to prove that there isnt some mad scientist alien thing probing and poking and injecting chemicals just tomake me (a brain) experience everything, from sight to taste to thinking up a maths problem! this is kind of as far as science goes: theres perception, theres time (4th dimension), theres the implausible "im the only one who exists and im a brain in a vat", and theres all those other dimensions brainy scientists talk about. oh, and heaven and stuff, for religions.

If there is something beyond reality, then it is unreality, and thusly unreal. Reality is what is real, and unreality is what isn't real. It's that simple, just like yes and no.

I like the topic,altough none of us really has an answer to this.Just look at the matrix for instants some people would say its bullshit,and just illusions but if you go deeper isnt the matrix in all of us...The only real thing is thougt either conscious or unconscious.All the other things like the world are all part of illusions made up by the mind to help us through life.I know this sounds awful cofusing.But real if you think about it this way dont have a definition!
