Does this mean that our American Troops are doomed to hell?

It is and Isn't
It's murder and can be in cold blood... but troops now aren't doing it just to protect us. The ones who are in it for the reason just to kill someone maybe.. but the ones who are trying to protect us maybe not. It's murder none the less. Not all murder is cold blooded. Either way it doesn't matter. Troops are trained to protect their country.. but some of them don't have the will power to control when/how often they kill. So technically there isn't a real answer because no one will really ever know if they go to hell or not.. It's more of doing what your told to do rather than just doing it heartlessly. What would you do in their shoes and your commander told you to take out everyone?? Are you going to tell him no?? He'd most likely shoot you and then ask you what you came here for and blah blah blah. So in turn you can't really judge or say until you know or have been there. I don't know if what I've typed make sense.. but try to figure it out.

The Old Testament
God induced a lot of wars against his enemies.
I'm sure that there is a difference between what the commandment states and the fact that our soldiers are doing a selfless service to our country by killing our's and God's enemies.

But the Bible also says
If you don't have a sword to sell your cloak and buy one.

Hell to our troops?
UUUUUM? They are our protectors...They dont have the mindset of Kill Kill Kill,,,They are men and women at work... They do kill people right...I wonder if God looks past the fact that a human is taking the life ( that he made)of another human...i am really confused so do clearify my mind...i dont want to go crazy...I just need other points of view...like people who are in the military and people who have parents in the American Militia Squad...Holla back!!!

I'll look this one up...
I was curious myself about this, so I checked the Bible. It does bring-up the morality of war. I can't remember exactly, I'll have to re-check and get back to you, but from what I remember, the Bible says that choosing to kill someone in battle is your own moral choice. It doesn't really say anything about consequences. There were wars going on in the Bible, some of them, like the battle of Jericho, were prompted by God.

No
Exactly, right your are. Also, the Bible sets up a certain, specific moral standard, so if the person being killed "deserved" it, such as pagans, adulterers, and homosexuals, they were being executed, not murdered.
Religious folk may see our troops are sacred soldiers gaurding their precious Christian world, or so my family likes to believe.
