A Crock-o-BS

There is a program enacted by President Bush that I feel needs to be called to attention...
It is called the national freedom commission, and more specifically “teen-screen”…
Basically the national freedom commission is meant to get us all addicted to pharmaceuticals so that the company owners can make their wallets even fatter…
Following the example of the tobacco industry, the pharmaceutical industry has now adopted the slogan “hook ‘em while their young.”
Teen screen targets kids age 9 to 17 and tests them for mental disorders that don’t exist, the test has an 80% false-positive rate, and the medications are more than likely dangerous for the kids that take them…
recent studies have shown that anti-depressants are dangerous to the health of anyone under 18, so much so that the FDA has ordered that a warning label be put on the bottles of the pills, and yet these grease-balls are feeding them to kids as early as age 9…
The best part is that much of the time the parents aren’t notified, teen-screen uses passive permission slips, meaning that if the kid doesn’t show it to their parents, its as good as if the parents signed it…
Now, I’m not a big fan of children, but I also don’t think that we should be shoving potentially harmful drugs down their throat to treat mental conditions that don’t medically exist and are diagnosed with a test that can barely show a real positive for a fake condition…
This is a crock of shit, and I, for one, will not stand for it!!!

I urge anyone who reads this to take action, and if you don’t believe me take a look for yourself…

  • Wow
I've always thought that psychiatrists and psychologists, have falsely claimed for about 80% of people, especially children, to have some type of mental disorder.
With ADHD being the most common, It's insane that for one these people actually believe that they have this disorder.
What angers me the most is that children naturally have a tendency to not pay attention, goof off, act crazy etc. and that some grown people are just about the same. Yet we're all handicapped and such.

  • take your SOMA
In Aldous Huxleys "Brave New World" People are kept complacent by the mandatory use of psychotropic drugs, such as SOMA, to make sure that the power elite goes unopposed by the majority

this reminds me very much of that

  • Here's the documents on this program
"Disgusting" is only the tip of the subject!

For more information on how the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health came about, the pharmaceutical interests and who's behind it all, go here:

For a fast uptake, view this very short video:

And then sign and forward this petition to your friends/family and everyone you know:
    http://www.petitiononline.com/TScreen/petition.html

It already has over 24,000 signatures including doctors, teachers & parents.

It's simply a race to inform enough parents so something can be done about this.

  • “Shyness: How Normal behaviour Became a Sickness”, Christopher Lane
That book might be interesting in regard to this topic. I haven't read it but I've seen some good reviews and interviews with the author. He basically claims that since the 1980s psychologists have been inventing disorders and reclassifying normal human variation as sickness.

    Looks feckin' interesting.
