What we cling to as proofs, reality, and facts are based in faith, hope, and agreements. One can not make a cat from dog parts. We do not have infinite information or concentration and our memory is plastic abstrations distorted and fading. Our great facts are more like wishful thinking and notions.

"Proof of God"
The question is not whether there is or isn't a God, . . . but is there proof?
On “Springer” when they want one side to win they set some unstable genetic fragment up to defend the losing side. On this subject we may all fit the category. I've spent time around scientists and creative freethinking people. There are few who believe straight up church dogma, even less who believe in no spirituality. Faith seems to be the issue. Atheists have faith in science? Religious have faith in a supreme spirit. Seems the agnostics are the only ones that can prove they're stance. Agnostics or "Not Knowers" don't know. The rest claim to… what?
One issue is the structure of " Proof " and what is considered " Proof ". Most is based on 5 senses and the rest on democratic and technocratic consensus. That is, if we all see it it's real.... that other guy takes the medicine. If all but one scientist feels that the sun circles the earth we don't buy the odd guys book or we burn him at the stake. Under the current set of proofs.... love cannot be proved.
Consider... Man is superior to the computer in certain respects, since we created it and not visa versa. If we wanted a true calculation from a computer we would have to run multiple tests to get a higher validity value. The more tests the higher the rating of it not being a mal-function, So if we asked 6 billion people if there is a supreme being... that would be considered 6 billion tests. It's considerably more than 90%. That doesn’t make it true, only popular. These people make up the intellectual community as well and of similar demographics. The problem is folks who want to tell people what to do and claim ‘God said’ or tell another what to feel or think. The idea that an omni present, all-powerful, creator of all couldn't or wouldn't also create evolution would be a contradiction. All is All.
What we have proved in history is ... People love to push people around. People love to promote ideas that fit or make them comfortable. People will change the peg if the hole isn’t' right or change the hole if the peg won't change. We are not comfortable with NON SOLUTION. We will take wrong answers in lieu of no answers. The words " I DON"T KNOW" are intellectual sin.
It seems there is more we don't know than do. There is more to be done than has been done. On any given second there is more in front of us than we can take in or account for. Basically we are bathed in ignorance, so the human mind truly works off of estimates, guesstimates and hunches.
It would be easier to believe that there was a God and we didn't see it than to say we know there isn't without any doubt. Maybe folks that do or don't believe might seriously examine what they think and feel. Have a unique individual experience. Then be open. Regardless, let’s be kind to one another.

no sin
there is no sin in admitting that you don't know something. In fact, it's better than convincing yourself of something, only to be wrong in the end.
confessing ignorance is the beginning of wisdom.

Hmmm,
On the subject that God doesn't exist, are we just some mistake then? Did our perfectly structured bodies just evolve from some squid thing on the ocean floor that was a result of a huge explosion.
One tiny mistake of the make up of our bodies and we never would have survived, was this just luck? I think not! There is much proof of Gods existence some people just refuse to see it.

Interpretations
It kind of depends on how you look at "God" Some people see God in nature, so see a reflection in themselves, and in that case that "Proves" to them that God exists. The Same with love.
For example: heard this from The Secret-
Go to a scientist and ask, what is Energy?
Cant be created or destroyed, always has been, always will be, can go in form, through form and out of form.
Go to a theologian and ask, who is God?
He, can not be created or destroyed, always has been, always will be, can go in form, through form, and out of form.
HMMMM....see a connection here?

An atheist is not necessarily an evolutionist, nor somebody who sees science as the answer, it is a null position.

Are you suggesting to have faith means you dont 'know', surely the point of faith is that you believe you know other wise it is not faith. To put your faith in someone/thing you have no solid proof of takes boldness. To say well I dont see it is a fairly (supposed) safe bet.

Due to the unbelievable grandeur of the universe we live in it seems plausable that something created it especially as things don't just appear from nowhere. Which brings me to this.. if non-believers dont believe in things they can't see and none of them have ever seen something amazingly appear from nothing how do they believe the universe wasnt created?

You are assuming that existence requires this supernatural creator. You qualify this only by stating that things exist. I could easily say that my toaster has created the earth, with the same tenability that a god has. One should not make leaps without the necessary evidence to support them.

So are you suggesting that existance just IS.. if it is possible for things to just be then God can just be also yet people argue that God cannot have had no beginning and no end yet your arguement says otherwise.

No it does not seem like a valid deduction. As we have no empirical experience of a creator we cannot deduce that one exists or created the universe. It certainly is possible that a divine being did such things, yet we should not make that leap as no reasonable evidence is being provided.
I am not suggesting existence just is... I am suggesting that there is nothing that qualifies god as the automatic deduction we must make when comprehending how the universe was created. Provide evidence for such reason for existence, and I will possibly believe, yet until then I will remain undecided.

I wont go into the whole why I believe bit not only because it is discussed from Christian perspective frequently on this site but we have had this discussion numerous times now so you could probably tell me

Cough Cough "cop out"
Here are some things that I would consider evidence towards gods existence.
1. Verified specific prophecies that could not be contrived.
2 A miracle subject to the same scrutiny as a scientific experiment.
Also, an omnipotent god would have no problem convincing me of his existence.

Mircle?? hhmm such as? you see I have a funny feeling that when people say become healed through the grace of God scientists have a habit of brushin it off and Im sure that if researched you will find stories of miracles all the time. I for one am healed from thyroid malfunction and have been since i decided to accept the promises of God for my life with regards to healing. What kind of miracle were you looking for. Also, say I went for tests and those tests said that i still have an underactive thyroid yet I am not experiencing symptoms what would your thoughts be? I ask because I happen to believe that what we see is not the truth. My truth comes from God and He is the only one I truly trust.

There are a number of possibilities:
1. Each and every other story other than those corresponding with your God is a fabrication.
2. There is an alternative methodology used to heal them.
3. There is a pantheon of Gods, which would mean that the God of the bible is a jealous liar.

So God will provide these other priests the power to heal? Thats nice of him, considering he killed the priests of baal, when Elijah called down fire for his sacrifice. Why did he render impotent and kill rival priests in his book, when he grants them the ability to heal elsewhere?
