If one dies as an infant

If one dies as an infant and does not have the mind capacity to understand the concept of God, or even understand the WORD ‘god’ is one punished by being sent to Hell or is one rewarded by being sent to Heaven?

  • If one dies as an infant

I would expect the Childs soul to go to “heaven” if it exists because it would be free of sin and uncorrupted by the ways of our world. To me this question comes back to what I thought a while ago, say if a child dies before he/she gets a chance in life but if they did get the chance they would have been a monster a deranged serial killer or whatever should they be held accountable for what they would have done or is that scraped because they never had the chance to do it, and if so wouldn’t it be better to die at such an age so you would be free from the burden of the sins that we do everyday and avoid punishment in the near future

  • Just with a smile on your face.

We will never know. Thats why we decided to make up Purgatory. Heaven, Hell, all just a way to understand death before it happens. Its like a story with loopholes, that we've been frantically trying to fill in as time goes on. Make it blindly, accept it blindly, live it blindly, die blind...

  • People try to make God

difficult to deal with and it is the simplest choice you will EVER make in your life. God does not give a GIFT and then ask for a price! “Heaven is a free Gift” quoted in the New Testament. Heaven is NOT bought or paid for with good works, or else men would start to brag and boast. Also in the Bible.

  • Karma?! what?

The Bible gives you the answer: Automatic one way ticket to paradise. This will also include; fully grown adults who never had a chance to hear the Word of God. Heaven is NOT a reward for good works or NOT sinning. It is plainly and factly: a free gift, given to those who simply ask for it. Once you ask for eternal life, based on the fact that you believe, Jesus was the infinite God-Man; You Have Eternal Life. Nobody can take it away and God doesn’t take back gifts unless you directly return it to Him. That means. Deliberate turning away and denouncing God, even though you know He is real.

  • doubt it

isnt the judgement of our souls determined by our karma? and since a child let alone an infant isnt naturaly evil and is praticaly incapable of doing anything evil; i dont think that they will go to hell.

  • No, I've asked and...

If you die before the age of 12, you automatically get into Heaven, no matter what. This question has been brought up in my Sunday School class. I'm not sure whether it's 12 and down or just under 12, but that's the rule, I guess; I thought it was interesting and it stuck with me.
