Is there anyone who actually hates the environment?

While many people care for the environment (and don't do anything about it) are there people out there who actually HATE the world we live in physically?
  • Yay flourescents.
    I use the bulbs, and we dispose of them properly.
    I recycle.
    I carpool at times, actually.
    I am probably the only one in this podunk town who cares about the world going to metaphorical hell. I just moved half-way across the country and even people here are in awe of the weather. It was 75 degrees here. That's way way WAY above average for January by about 45 degrees. Subtle and not-so-subtle changes are occuring. Open your eyes and see it, people! We can't close our eyes to our children's future forever.

  • I was actually thinking about this today.
    I think it would be better if everyone were a slave to trends. Hear me out, not entirely better for the individuals, but if we all were to become health freaks and all cared about the enviorment in full, wouldn't it be better? Yes, I realize the obvious problems caused by this, but it could still help. Just a floating thought.

  • WE ARE LAZY
    Pretty much everyone does actually know that pollution is wrong and we should be more environmentally friendly and all, but the real problem is no one could really give a stuff about it.

    Who actually replaced their lights at home with energy-saver bulbs?
    Who actually bothers to properly divide their wastes into rubbish / recycling?

    Sure economics is an issue in a big company sort of way, but individually I think being greener is a matter of how enthusiastic about it you are.

    UNLESS... there are actually people out there who WANT the environment we live in to collapse???

    Thats what I want to know and the purpose of this topic.

    I would hate the 'environment' if it wasn't for the technologies that protect me from it. Depending on where I lived of course. Malaria, lions, backbreaking labour, spiders.

    I'm a huge misanthrope, so I tend to hate the world in various ways. Although I like technology, I don't like the urban sprawl, cement, pollution, etc.

    Even nature itself can be ugly.
