One thing I have learned at this site

People dont change easely. They cling to those things which justify their behaviors,. and mock those that tend to discredit their self justifications. They believe in Gods that uphold the morality they have, and deny those who condemn them, or they believe in no God so that all things may be justified. They rationalise to fit their ideals and proclaim those that oppose them, irrational. No one truely seeks truth, only a version that their conscience can accept.

I dont post as much as I used to on here, nor do I argue as was once my M.O., I have found it to be rather a waste of time. I am by no means excludng myself from the situation I have described, for being human , Im not sure that is entirely possible, but rather resigned myself to the fact that man and his nature will continue to be, as it has been from the begining , pretty much unchanged
  • very true
Humans develop ideas and do not like letting them go, so they defend them (sometimes to the death). but you may have noticed dwn, there are people on here who's oppinions have changed over the course of them being here.

  • Embrace it
Change is good so long as it is for the right reasons. people are too secure in their habits. Its as though they are reliant on them for support and self preservation. No good can come from too much self belief. We are not intelligent enough to rely on ourselves I mean just take a look at history..war after war after war after corruption after war blah blah. We have been deceived in our thinking for too long.

  • Your mind
Is not designed to change outside of imposed subconscious boundaries. It is hard indeed to will your mind to change; rather it would seem your mind wills your consciousness to change. The mind processes thoughts into two distinct categories; those that oppose the set value system and those that don't. The value system can change or even be overided when in states (concerning your mood and emotions, and partly your will), but ultimately these are the standards. The standards can change as you subconsciously modify it throughout your life, but otherwise, all thoughts are processed through the consciousness, attributed a distinctive 'good', 'bad' queue using either fear or elation, and then tossed into the respective piles. Your mind chooses this through its own conditioning, thus preventing you from feeling bad from good queues, and good from bad queues.
