Why call it reality T.V. when everyone knows they are following a set of rules?

The only Reality I have ever believed is the one that I live in, not that crap they show on TV. Allow me to explain...

  • There's nothing REAL about it
    I can not stand reality tv. It is the dumbest thing I have ever watched and wasted a half hour to an hour of my life watching. Whenever a reality show is over, I can't help but feel like I need to bathe myself in hopes that the filth I just watched isn't some sort of disease.

    I saw a commercial the other day for a Reality show called "Paradise Hotel 2", and right after I saw that commercial, the only thing I could think about were prostitutes and pimps. That's all that show seemed like it was going to be. Bunch of random people that don't know each other come to stay at a hotel and have sex with each other every night. That is not reality! Reality at a hotel is the people in the room next to you with their kids screaming all the time and the other room is that creepy guy that reminds you of Silence of the Lambs. That is a hotel.

    Then you got this "Battle Of The Bods". Let me think...hmmm...ah yes a group of sluts getting ranked for how good they look, then get all pissy at each other because "Oh I'm so much hotter than you." Bull "shit, none of you have the brain chemistry to even qualify for my eyes to even see that you exist. All that show is some dumb-ass guys ranking girls in hope of getting laid by one of them. Woop dee freakin' doo.

    If it were me I would laugh at them all and say. "Haha, screw all of you my ex-girlfriends beats you all by a long shot. The only reason why these other guys are here is because, well, they couldn't get into college."

    Sorry about your luck Reality TV but your programs just aren't real enough for me. You want a reality TV show then give me a damn video camera and I will give you reality of me taking a shit on the magazine ads for your shows.

    Dont play like you dont have a guilty pleasure in watching it. Sure its terrible but its seeing people at their worst moments that make people feel good about themselves. Reality TV is pretty much unavoidable. Everyone knows it sucks and its stupid to complain about it. We know its not real but we ALL watch it anyway. It, like the rest of television, is an escape from our lives into the crap loads that are other peoples lives.
