Communicate With The Dead (Comedic)

"can people REALLY communicate with the dead? I dunno, I'm half convinced that they can. I've been to a few random spiritualist churches and had a few rather accurate messages."

It depends really on who you ask.

First off, what is a communication with you? Is it one where you talk and the other listens AND vise-versa? If that is a complete communication then no, you can't. The reason is because apprently once someone is dead, it dosen't matter that you did everything for them, or that they said that you were their "one and only". They become stuck up and it turns out you aren't even good enough for them to talk to anymore.

I have tried talking to some of the dead I know of. Such as uncle Howard, Brutus, Richard Nixon, and so on. None of them ever return my calls. They don't even answer my E-Mails! I even resorted to postal services, still with no luck at all. It's ridiculous. It's as if the world isn't good enough for them. The would much rather rot away inside a box six feet under the ground than to talk to me or you. That's just cold.

Of course, if you are just looking for a communication that is only one way, with you talking and them listening, then I suppose it works. Otherwise, no it is not possible.

it's a dangerous dabble with spiritism

I, for one, do not believe the dead can talk, but there are evil spirits in the world who can impersonate the dead very convincingly, and these evil ones will try to deceive people into believing lies. Do not listen to them.

Deceptions can only go so far
How do we know that evil spirits don't hypothetically impersonate angels to influence religious scripture? It's easy enough to say that everything is evil, but if you think as I do, you would see that not all spiritual presences are malicious and manipulative, some of them don't even present themselves as human at all.

But you do present an interesting idea, nonhuman entities impersonating emotional signatures. Giving a false impression that we are speaking to the dead.

THEY DO! Satan often transforms himself into an angel of light, so we must be on our guards against false doctrine.

True, but there are enough out there who are to make caution a must. I for one, am wary. I've been deceived before, and it nearly drove me to suicide.

yes, that IS what i believe is happening.
The dead do not stay here. they go on to whatever afterlife awaits them, therefor, when we think we hear the dead, we are really hearing either the echos of our own emotions, or something not from our world, that may have very questionable intent.

I get a shiver up my spine just thinking of the last time I encountered a presence. If that is true, it would be like a predator luring its prey, using bait that it knows will distract you.

I vividly remember one day where I glanced down into my basement and saw a black translucent veiled creature glide to out of my view. It looked kind of like a wrath from LOTR, but more as though it were a bundle of torn black cloth drifting through the air as though it were as thick as water. Very creepy, about 6 foot, with what could be interpreted as near human anatomy, as though it were a shadowy black cloud that was trying vainly to emulate what a person looked like. I wouldn't say it was necessarily even a shape or an object that was in the light, more like just a darkness that blocked you from seeing what was behind it.

I did not see it again until weeks later when I was walking from my basement up to the stairs and it materialized and lunged from the wall. Its face was like an angry i'm not sure, I could draw a picture and show you how violent its form was. The same translucent torn curtains for the main body mass, but an outstretched arm with talons and teeth like an ancient hissing cat. No eyes, just dark spots. But it disappeared as quickly as it appeared (as soon as it touched me).

As soon as that happened, I focused and confronted it, and so far it has remained dormant for the most part. Very chilling to think about, I still wonder if it is ever completely gone, or if it just waits and lurks until I don't pay attention.

That had to be the strongest negative presence I had encountered. It still gives me the creeps.

I was attacked in a different way. I did not actually see a shape, but i was suddenly bombarded with the most self-destructive emotions and the most
self-abusive urges that came out of absolutely nowhere. It was like, I literally went from feeling just fine, to wanting to tear myself into little pieces, in a matter of seconds. It was an abnormally suicidal impulse, even for my most depressed moods. I really wanted to kill myself in the most violent ways imaginable. That's when I realized these thoughts were not coming from me, but to me from another, unseen, source. Once I came to that conclusion, I was able to resist before I did something to harm myself. I really think it was a demon. Who else would want to make me kill myself that badly? Something was manipulating my emotions in a harmful way. When I rebuked it, it fled.
