      d'you guys remember that moshika guy? the one who claimed to be the messiah. I think we need more people like him, he really rattled up the discussion boards when he was around.

    Random member back from the dead after some random amount of months. Out of being bored, I randomly came here and posted a new topic, which isn't exactly something that isn't a common topic around here.
    
    Many subjects are things I usually don't care about or really have anything to say about, so I likely won't be saying much at all.

    God and gays, I guess that's what people here mostly care to talk about, not that I'm not part of it myself.
    
    I guess the main thing is, this site doesn't seem to get advertised enough. I don't remember how I found out about this site, but I didn't come across it again for like two or three years outside of using bookmarks to get back here.

    More philosophers + Publicity Would Be Good

    Ok I just typed in philosophy into google:
    173,000,000 hits
    
    Where was allphilosphy?
    Well not the first 10 pages (100 sites), which is when I stopped looking.
    
    Most people rarely go into the 3rd page, so I don't like the hope for finding it without help. (I only 1st found it after a one of a kind sentence into typed into google - happened to be the topic title)
    
    How about a little more publicity eh creators?
    (Isn't there something you can do with google that puts your site on top? Mite have to pay for it, not sure)

    I found allphilosophy by typing in something like "god debate argument" into google. it was about halfway down the page.
    
    What if someone creates groups in facebook and youtube for allphilosophy? might that draw attention?

    I did have a link to my page on facebook though i have no idea whether it made a difference. I have to agree the topics are lacking and are either about God or Homosexuality then there is always the old abortion debate and the odd agony aunts questions. Maybe too many people venture here from allpoetry, no offence but emotion and philosophy can make things difficult if debate is going to be interesting rather than opinion based.
    
    Not that poetry is lacking of course.. me loves it
    
    To be honest i dont have the time I used to and things have never been the same since the whole setup changed. Yes it is coolies now but back then this place had a certain sercetive charm about it plus it was easier to track your biggest foes. Plus for all us egotistical self loving tripsters it was possible to reread your past choices an awful lot easier too. All this moaning is hardly productive though so I just hope someone if not me can do something because this is as a good friend would say "a quality site no.."

    I agree. I think someone controversial actually spices things up. Bring on the controversial people. As it seems I am the only mod who ever comes on anymore, I will be more lax with the nastiness.

    The problem I find is that no one wants to debate on facts. They take a stand based solely on an unsubstantiated belief. How can you debate someone like that. Philosophy is a lot like science. It is supposed to be a search for the truth. As an interaction site, I have become fond of many of the posters and I do follow some of the posts.

      And even more ironically, I don't want to get into with you haha I believe in God but think it is a matter of faith, and not proven fact. And I think you let your religious beliefs sway your beliefs in proven scientific data. And we know that about each other. So we occasionally leave a snarky comment and a wink and move on.
      
      We need NEW liberal jerks, and NEW religious crazies on here! Ones that we think we can change, and that we don't feel bad ripping one into! lol

        I think we might need a restructuring, one more like answer bag or something where there are categories that are actually in differed sections, and although he is almost ever on this site , given the nature of this post it seems strange that Kevin hasn't had anything to say

    I agree with most of the above, and as was mentioned, greater advertizing may be the best solution to the problem. A lack of fresh topics and people not only dissipates interest, but also denies the ability to grow, learn new things and even change our ideas, so we all keep arguing the same things and its a never ending, constant circle of wording the same thing in different ways and seeing how well we can pull that off.
