Someone who can create many things. A Supernatural being, a person you never thought of. A lucky person. Someone who doesn’t see everywhere, but still can play God, or maybe be God. God can’t be up in the sky, in the thin air. Where is God, where is Heaven. So what would Heaven look like. Where would you go, after death?

God is not a person37% Voted for by Mr Brightside, Devsouane, Makessenseright.
God is a spirit that Does see everything. He is everywhere at one time. But at the same time just because you may pray for a million dollars it doesn’t mean that he is going to give it to you.
When you Die you get judged by God, he looks into the Book of Life. It is then judged if you are to go to Heaven or Hell.

God Has No Son Or WifeVoted for by Devsouane.
In my opinion that jesus was never a son for the God because spirit never born, when a king has a son his son can do whatever he wants to do so he's a kind of a king two and two kings in the same life and at the same time can not be found because one of them wants to do something that the other one do not want this thing to be happened so they'll fight and in the end one of them will do what he wants that exist that the other one is not a king ,and when a king kneel for a king that means that he's not a king , that offcourse dosent exist that it could be 2 gods for 2 lifes not at all

God's definitel not flesh (and still there I'm thinking about this while I'm still reluctant that God really exists). He's certainly not something of the flesh, that would be way too ironic. And I don't think he's a spirit because that is not something much "higher" than us. And I also think he's not really a he, or a she. He invented genders, and what's the use of genders? To reproduce, and as far as I'm concerned there isn't a little army of Gods somewhere. And with who would he screw? Anyway. Oh and I don't believe in heaven or hell. I do believe in continuity, in a way, but not in the angel things or demon thing. There is evil and good though, maybe not a devil, but I think I'm getting off topic here. Hmmm topics like this make me talk a lot...

I belive that God is not some high and mighty spirit or whatever. He is simply a part of us all. WE are god. I do not think heaven or hell exist. I belive that how we live this life will afect how good our next life will be, making it heaven, hell, or inbetween.

...Here is something to think about....
There is some information left out....Here is what you're looking for.... Everyone disobeys God—disobedience to God is what sin is. Because we disobey God, we will not spend eternity with Jesus. Why? Since we have disobeyed God (by not following all the Ten Commandments), we will have to suffer the consequences for disobeying His laws—leading a good life won’t let you off scott-free because you still disobeyed the law and decided to not obey God. Therefore, because of that, God will have to make you suffer the consequences. The reason we need Jesus is because he died on the cross for our sins—the same way that a criminal, faced with an $1000 fine, not even owning two pennies, would be forgiven of his crimes because of someone he didn’t even know, standing up and paying his fine. Jesus paid our fine (sin) so that we could love Him and live eternally with Him in heaven. All we have to do is repent (totally turn from our sins), and trust and put on Jesus the same way we would trust and put on a parachute before jumping 1000 feet off an airplane. ‘Ats it!April 17, 2005

Authorize, I would say that because of your writing, I would know that you are real and do exist. It's the same way with God. If you see the trees, grass, plants, and flowers all around you, you find the evidence for God. Simple as pie. The Bible says that God made all these things. Besides, you yourself know good and well that God exists. If He exists, than He is real. The Bible says that all men know that God exist--they simply choose whether they want to believe in that fact or not. (Romans 1) So, I have no reason to try to prove God's existence because you yourself know good and well that He does exist.Energizer Bunny

I like the way jfritzyb lays it out there. Authorize, think of it like this if you will. If I was stuck in the quicksand and could not escape I would be doomed. Now, suppose you came along and tried to help me but in the process realized you could not help me for now you too were also stuck in the quicksand. Now, for someone to help us out it would take someone who was not in our situation. It would take someone who was not stuck in the quicksand for you cannot help me if you too are stuck. Now, take this same theory and apply it to the Christian life. Everyone is a sinner. There are NO exceptions. God is perfect and totally sin free so He cannot be associated with sin in any way. Why? Because it is against His own nature. God cannot violate His own nature for then He would not be God. People say then why don't God just over look our sin or just forgive us? Well, because even though God is totally loving and forgiving, He is also totally "just" too. He will always make the right choice for He is God. To over look our sin would mean that He was not just therefore He would not be God. There had to be another way and this is where Jesus Christ came into play. Jesus Christ was God in human form. Yes, Christ was just a man(He had flesh and blood), but He was also God(God chose to put Himself into Christ). Christ was 100% organic(human) but He was and is also 100% God in the flesh. By subjecting Himself to all the temptations that every other human faces and physically and mentally choosing to not give in to them He remained sin free. In other words, He was not stuck in the quicksand of sin that all of us are. It takes someone who is sin free to save someone who is not. Therefore, Christ went to the cross by CHOICE, not by force. He took all the sins of everyone in the world at the present time and to come and paid for them with his blood. The O.T. tells us there is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood. Therefore, Christ was fulfilling the scripture. Up until that point, God, the Heavenly Father, allowed the use of animal blood to cover up sin until the next time. Christ was special because His blood covered up your sins then and in the future too. That is why we Christians refer to Him and the Lamb of God. Now, Christ on the cross makes all mankind saveable...NOT saved. It is like a free gift from God to all mankind but you must "spiritually" reach out and take it by faith before it can become your gift. Does this mean Christians are not sinners?? NO, we are still sinners, but now when we go to face God after our death, God will see the perfect sinless heart of Christ in our hearts instead of our sinfull nature. In other words, as we stand in God's very presence, Christians will stand in the shadow of Christ. Furthermore, why ask for proof that you already know ahead of time that you will not accept? Everyone must get to a point in their life when their hearts are receptive and you are seeking serious answers to life's questions: 1. Who am I really? and 2. What is my true purpose? God has instilled these questions in everyone's hearts at birth but He has not put the answers to them in the world around us. To discover who you really are you must first seek Him and when you find Him then you will also find youself in the process. Sound complicated??? I hope not, for in reality is is not. The creation cannot FULLY understand the creator. Our finite minds cannot fully grasp our infinite creator. The best part is God already knew this so that is not a requirement. No where in the Bible does God say He requires you to fully understand Him completely. NO, in fact He will only ask you to accept Him on faith and it does not take that much faith either. God's word says it takes the faith of a Mustard seed. In other words, God has instilled in everyone just enough faith to believe and accept Him to those who earnestly seek Him.April 27, 2005

Please consider....
Sky pilot, please look at comment #3, 2nd paragraph. Also, ponder on this....2 Timothy 3:16 states that all scripture was given by inspiration of God. In other words, ALL the words in the Bible come from God. As I have said before in a few other posts in various places throughout Allphilosophy, if God made someone as complex as you, then He must know Truth. Not only that, He IS Truth! So...You decide what is right and wrong based on what the Bible says--not on yourself, not on how you feel, and finally...not on what you think is right, because what a criminal thinks is right to do, ISN'T what a judge thinks (and KNOWS) what is right to do. Why is this honest judge in the right and the criminal in the wrong? Because an honest judge judges what is right and wrong based on what the Bible says is right and wrong. A criminal's wicked behavior shouldn't be tolerated, according to the Bible and therefore, the criminal MUST suffer the consequences for DISOBEYING what the honest judge said was wrong! Why? Because the criminal is not only disobeying the judge, he is disobeying the laws that God gave the judge to enforce! Therefore, you now see what kind of condition a criminal is in when he disobeys God's law--he not only disobeys the judge, he disobeys God! ...And God makes it quite clear that this criminal will receive his reward that he deserves for disobeying the law that He (God) put in place! ....Finally.....PLEASE read my very first post, and please, I BEG of you, re-read what I said and consider it....and, if possible, please read the poem "What is Truth? Part II"May 7, 2005

Authorize is correct...
Just because a book says someone or something is real, does not mean you should believe in it ( kind of like your mom telling you 'just because it is on tv doesn't make it real'). Who is to say that the Holy Bible's contents are real, did you see it written? Do you know the authors? You all are acting on word of mouth. I look at religions based upon 'God', and see their moral teachings--which seems to be all they have. I know some of you will argue that God said these wonderful things. Well, why not come up with a book, for these uneducated people, who listened to rich dictators--who were educated, but gulable, to live by? Thus, the Holy Bible was created to control people's actions, suggest to them a moral code. Perhaps the Romans saw this, maybe that is why they wished to persecute Christians, or they could have been scared of losing the majority of the population to this 'kind' religion. Once again, who knows? In any case, modern religion scares me. "If you do not believe in God, love him, yatta, you will go to Hell and be enternally damned!" I'm not sure but does that seem like something Jesus or God would say back then, but I do not think Christianity was meant to scare people into submission.May 7, 2005

Will...Christianity is about choice. You CHOOSE whether you will rely on God and ask Him to help you love Him, or not. You CHOOSE whether you will follow and do what He tells you to do--or not. No more--no less, sir. ...What's that you said? “If you do not believe in God, love him, yatta, you will go to Hell and be enternally damned!” Hmm....First of all, let me explain something...A true Chrstian MUST ASK GOD for this love for Him. Galatians 2:20 states that when Christ lives inside of me, I begin to act like Him! In order for Him to live in me, there is something that I must do.... John 15....(Please note the word "abide.") When someone "abides" in Christ, they become more and more like Him...Therefore, they will begin to know Jesus better and better day by day. They will begin to know more and more, as they "abide" with Him, what makes Him happy and what makes Him sad.... ...And even the "abiding" part requires Jesus' help. So, every day, we greet the Lord Jesus in the following context and say, "Dear Jesus, here I am. Help me abide with you today. Clean up my sin and search my heart--and know me." Then...If we open our Bibles and don't understand what we're reading, we then ask for the interpretation for what we're reading. ...So, in closing, we have to rely on Jesus for EVERYTHING! And, as the Bible says, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" --JFBpnktrky

sometlhing is missing
for Jesus did not come to condem. he explisitly said so. he came for the sinner, for a doctor is not here for the healthy. if you believe, he is God who came down from heaven to create a new covenent sealed in his blood. so that it would be something that we all could remember. adn if a reall christan was here he would know as a fact that religion is pety talk and thats just going around the real ideals that will have weight. and so far with all i know and everything at my disposel i have come to one conclusion. all you need is agape and if you have this nothing else matters. agape = unconditional unmotivated love given to everybody. just do that and no matter what religion you say you are i can bet you this is at the heart for reaching the place that they want to go... ppl call it heaven. Jesus thought he made this obvious by his humble life but i guess ppl still choose to not see the simple yet probably the hardest thing to do that will bring you happiness and make everybody happy at the same time. Please register or login to comment!
