I’ve noticed lately, paticularly where I live, alot of home less people. I have also taken the time to notice things about them, that most do not care to notice. Most homeless people are not able to take care of their self, let alone anyone else. Also alot are Vietnam veterans that were either disavled durring the war or came home and were screwd over by the goverment.
One person I watched who we all call George, that being his name, is a sad case. George rides around town on his skate board holding his back pack. He has mental problems, he even ripd out his own eye, because his left hand is possesed. It truns out George is realy a very incredibly smart guy. It’s just that nobody gives him the time of day or trys to help.

I think they should be helpd, if you can’t take care of yourself, the law doing nothing to help is like murder.

sickens...Voted for by ohsweetie2788.
it sickens me that no one helps the less fortunate...society as a whole is selfish and though it is sad it will take a lot to convince the government to do something. i am willing to work to help them becuase not helping is ruining good people.

Homeless people are drunks or drug addicts. There are the exceptions of George, who just has problems. I would think the only way to help someone like him is an institution or hospital. Maybe he chose not to do that before and so he is paying for it because he cannot hold down a job or socialize properly because of his possessed hand.

Why do people use the term "Less fortunate"Voted for by webdemon666.
Why? That doesn't make any sense to me. People in America are not less fortunate. People are poor, middle class, are rich by choice, because everyone has the same oportunity to succeed. My uncle is a vietnam vet and now he works for a microchip manufacturer. He is far from poor might I add. Fact is that in this country all of our choices make us successful or not. I hate the word "unfortunate" and the term "Less fortunate" because it does not apply to anyone in this country. It is a simple matter of action and consiquence.

The less fortunateVoted for by Beena.
First, no one is obligated or duty bound to help the less fortunate. Much of it might be fate or destiny because of which they are so and so others who are more fortunate need not feel bad because they are so. Don't try to blame the more fortunate just because there are less fortunate people in the world. Charity is a favour and not something expected of you to do. If you can help just one person in this world, good for you!
