Is offshore drilling a solution to our oil shortages?
-
Oil is dying
No. No I don't think this is a solution. The amount of offshore oil we have isn't going to amount to much, and it could take many years to obtain and refine. It probably wouldn't help much.
But, whatever. Do it if you want. I give states full permission without objection to drill all they want. They don't even have to use too many economic protection plans if they don't want to. I don't care. Get it over with, and see what happens.
Either way, oil is dying. It is limited, and we are running out. In our lifetimes we may not have oil, or we will see it be astronomically expensive. How will we be transported? How will we get food deliveries? How will we heat our homes?
Drill anywhere you want, just invest in alternative energy sources!! Get this "we need homebrewed AMERICAN oil!" mentality out of the way, and SAVE OUR WAY OF LIFE. We need energy, and our current sources are running out.

Oil is still the fuel of tomorrow to 35+ years from now, and i think it would be smart to secure our assets. I don't agree with Nancy pelosi or anybody who says building more refinieries or drilling wouldn't bring prices down eventually. However many people in washington would like to have bureaucracy in place that distibutes our oil. They are obviously putting up road blocks for big oil ect. in order to have this happen.
The use for oil as a fuel is dying, but i think we should utilize it as much as we can until it's dead. I don't think it is fair to socialize oil distribution or to indirectly force people to give up oil.
Invest in alternative energy +1
