i also find that i am being told that i could not possibly be happy, content, or in tune with myself with out such and such higher power... and i will go to hell no matter how good of a person i strive to be...
so...
i invite every one of you to "save" me...
show me how unhappy i am, how unfulfilling my life is... show me that i am wrong... show me why i should believe in your god, who, despite how good of a person i am, will forsake me to hell if i dont bow before it... show me how that fickle god who punishes the good, who's theology is "wrong", and exhaults the wicked, so long as their theology is in order, is a loving god....
give me a reason to believe.... or at least a reason not to look at your religion in the same light as every other religion on earth...

This is not what love is. It's a very simple concept. Our Lord is described in such beautiful words: Mercy, Love, Compassion, Benevolence. He created the Universe, which is bound by the most intricately, interwoven scientific laws that we can only begin to understand. this is not to say that the sky will darken in your perseption by simply yelling "it is night" but the human mind is capable of altering it's perception when a person truely is convinced of something or another (many people are falsely diagnosed as schitzophrenics because of this)

I can agree with that
Yes, many people hold many things to be true. We have seen people march to their death or commit suicide based on what they held to be true.Also, I believe there could be a God. However, this God is not something invented by men and that follows some rules outlined by men in a book written by men.
