What do we know?

What we know, for real, that is, is that we dont really know anything. A lot of people think they know all kinds of things,...whats right , whats wrong,...who God is , that god is, that god isnt, That we exist, that we dont exist, that the colors we see are all the same, and the smells and tastes, and that they are not the same , but mearly perseption unique to the individual, that there is time, that there is no time, that time is subjective, that time is finite, that gay is right , and abortion as well, that neither are right. that there are parralell universes, and that there are not, all of this knowledge, I could go on and on. It all seems to be proof that we have no knowledge at all.....but then , that is subjective

  • So...are you saying....
that we can't know these things? Such as who and what is God or what and why is man? My God says to prove ALL things. That certainly includes your queries. If He says to prove all things then all things must be proveable. The caveat is this; my God says that if you can't believe, and believe in, Him, then He can't open your mind to understand the things of God. As it is written; the reverence of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge.

  • The question of "what" is derived from function
Your true question isn't "what do we know", it is "define the function of knowledge."

Everything exists, phantasmal or tactile. The confusion comes when we try to determine on what level of reality things exist.

If someone is having a hallucination, their experiences aren't "illusionary", they just aren't coherent to the plane of reality we consciously associate.

What we 'know' may not be directly compatible with other knowledge, in which case there may be ambiguity to how our mind tries to solve the conceptual puzzle we see before us. Does the picture have 5 triangles, or 6? are you sleeping or awake? how can I absolutely verify the status of sometihng. Ambiguity is the origin of the question, so maybe it is the answer too.,

  • answer your own question.
if you are not able to then maybe you need to realize that you do know one thing.
you know that you do not trust yourself.
    at all.
    you question how you feel?
    you question what you believe?
you question you question you question
until your body begins to fold in on its self, resembling a question mark.
you must fear the repercussions or thought of being wrong. i am going to go ahead and assume that. blatently assume that. if i am wrong, i will make the necessary adjustments and adapt. that's how that's done by the way. humility is one of the few necessities in this human life. living is also a necessity, but to do it proper, you have to assume some responibility and identity.... you have to have desires, wisdom, understanding, interest, and a spine(proverbial). who cares if you aren't right? it's you. YOU pull your own breath into your lungs, YOU are affected by your decisions, YOU were born alone and will die alone..... you are the judge and jury for the duration of your waking existance. live it with honor to yourself. live it with honor to others.

quit questioning what you already know and deal with being questioned in turn. YOU have not given YOURSELF enough credit.
