we wonder about its creation.
big bang? evolution? god?
but those leave questions of how that became to exist in the first place and how is anything anything.
what are the origins of existence?
how does existence exist?

The Existence of Existence?i don't think this is actually answerable.28% Voted for by zga, Krick, Crux Anima, Moon Maiden.
theoretically existence shouldn't exist but it obviously does...
how could existence exist without an existence to exist into? o.0
for anyone that would say everything was created by god, it would have to be created itself first from an absolute state of nothingness...
when there's nothing there is nothing.
to say that it's supernatural, magic or unicorns that could be possible outside of our known existence to create ours, would also have to exist itself in some way which is the same as the god theory.
to say existence always existed also seems illogical as it doesn't and can't explain the existence of existence.
it would be interesting to see what other people think of this if anything because i have no idea other than it having to remain unknown.

Tao philosophy says non-existence is a false concept. When you see a flower, and call it beautiful, you are unwittingly and unintentionally creating the idea that something can not be beautiful.21% Voted for by Molzahn, NoeL-, zga.
Through the creation of the word "existent," we have unwittingly created the false concept of "non-existence."
If you think about it, everything exists, the only difference between things is whether we interpret them to be figments of our imagination, or actual forces within external reality. "Non-existent" is a misnomer for the former. -
The Existence of Existence?I am not completely sure as to how everything exists. Without something to exist in.Voted for by Moon Maiden.
I mean how could be big bang theory be right if we don't even know where the materials to START the big bang came from? And God? Well what made HIM? I don't really know if right now anyone has a real concrete answer to this question. It has bothered me more than once. I think it is more a matter of what you believe in and not what facts we have. I don't know if you can really tell how existence exists. Its kinda like asking, "If space is endless then how do we know that there is no gravity and everything isn't just falling at the same rate?" It's difficult to answer because we don't know. -
The Existence of Existence? This reminds me of a childhood riddle: "Why is a duck when it spins?" To which the usual answer was "Because the higher the fewer?" The answer didn't make sense because the question didn't. When you ask "Does existence exist?" the answer depends on what you mean by your question. By defining your terms you can in effect determine the answer. However it's a tough call to define existence! Piet Hein, the Danish philosopher poet, wrote:Voted for by Seasinger.
The universe may
Be as great as they say,
But it wouldn't be missed
If it didn't exist.
Ponder on that.

Well...My thought is that there was never a real "beginning" and that there will never be a real end and if I start thinking deeper my brain shall dive into turmoil.Voted for by GinryuStargazer.

=)Draw a circle and ask your friend where it started. Think of it as God being the drawer, and you my friend are the one pondering of where the drawing is and how it came to be drawn. It just is.Voted for by bozo.

In other words, God doesn't exist.

We cannot yet fully understand nor will ever take in the dimensions of our own universe. Left or right one dimension, up and down another, forward and backward the third. Combining these is how we perceive movement in our "plane". The 4th dimension is hardly perceivable by the human mind, represented only memory--time. There are, mathematically, many more dimensions in this sense. We just can't ever perceive them, and even our most brilliant minds can hardly wrap them selves around it with equations.

for anything to exist as anything including the "another plane",
how could the first thing that became to exist become to exist from absolutely nothing?

They very well might not be rules that exist in OUR plane.

We can think all we want...
But it doesn't amount to a hill of beans if the conclusions don't contribute to the survival of life, hopefully including our own species.May 14, 2009

Don't worry Weydon, I was with you every step of the way.zga, get over it mate, God can simply be eternal and you shouting 'no he can't!' is not going to change logical possibility.

There is no logic for existence
THERE IS NO LOGIC FOR ANYTHING IN THIS UNIVERSE TO EXIST. To be more percise, there is no logic to existence. From my vision, this concludes all that exist should not. So when analyzing and dealing with effects I have observed by my outer objective vision, and acknowledged as reality by my inner subjective feeling, I find such mental exercise leads me to deduce on that which has no meaning except what I clothes it with. Please register or login to comment!
