Have you ever been talking about someone you haven’t seen in many years, in fact you don’t even know how to find them and then out of the blue later that day or a few days after they walk in the room. Or simpler things like you may think of an off the wall phrase or word and within minutes that exact phrase is repeated on the tv or radio. You get the idea, right.
I want to hear about your experience with this phenomenon called synchronicity, 2 seemingly unrelated events which in fact do seem related.

You are not talking about dejavu, but synchronicity as you mention later. A lot of this just has to do with the idea you have become more aware. IE you learn a new word, and you so now you see it all over the place. You begin to become aware of a topic that interests you, and all of the sudden you meet all kinds of people who share your opinions. It all has to do with awareness- your own.
However there are very weird odds that can probably only be understood if you are educated in statistics. For example, for the past two christmases, I selected a card to give this guy, and ended up changing my mind, and putting the card back on the shelf. However, it was the ONLY card I picked up with him in mind. Guess what? I get that card from him for Christmas. Geeze, you’d think I’d have better chances of winning the lottery- especially since we don’t live near each other and don’t shop at the same places. But it can probably be explained by statistics- who knows. Too bad it doesn’t happen for the lottery though, lol.
Anyway, I think a lot of sychcronicity can be explained through psychology or statistics/mathematics. But I think there is also spiritual coincidences too. I just haven’t had many of those- the ones I thought I had(ie the card one above), the other person wouldn’t have agreed or thought of it in the same way. So nayway, that’s my take. Interesting topic.
Regarding Dejavu, I have that sensation all the time. I think it may be biochemistry, where your brain processes something as if you have already experienced it before, when you haven’t.

To me it proves fate, before you are sent to earth you are told the story of your life before you live it, Deja vu is your mind remembering parts of the story just before they happen

I have deja vu ALOT it happens in insignificant thins though. Like I will dream or just visualize something totally random but then later it will happen or I will see or look at something and it will click. It’s pretty awesome.

Creepy!Voted for by drowningpink.
I think deja vu is one of the creepiest things ever! So weird! When you think of something, like some food, for example, and then you have it for dinner! Sooooo weird, I think its just a taste of how psychic we could be if we focused on it!

Are you asking if I believe in reincarnation that results in deja vu? Because deja vu is real. Uh, duh.

I had it before.Voted for by FeralRabbit.
I have had a problem called epilepsy my whole life and whenever I had DeJaVu I would go into a seizure. I think that my mind found it to be an error of some sort.

You Can't NOT Believe in it...Voted for by Mythtress.
That’s like asking if you believe in dreams. Most people at least occassionally remember their dreams. Some people experience deja vu. Maybe because they did do something before or maybe because of some weird mystical experience or what not. But just because you haven’t experienced deja vu, doesn’t make it not exist. That is just silly.

Conversations played outVoted for by Applehead.
Quite often I'll be having a conversation or watching a scene play out in front of me and its as though I have seen it before. It's hard to believe it's just the monotony of life (although I have considered this lots) because the details are so thorough. When this happens its as though I'm seeing my life as I've seen it before, as though its a reminder that I'm on the right path. As an openminded skeptic I find this bonkers and want to slap myself into some sort of sense, but the feelings are so deep at the time of these scenes that its impossible to brush off as coincidence.

End of the universe. My crazy theoryVoted for by Blosssom.
When the universe ends our souls would be left with nothing but memories to relive. Perhaps, long ago the universe ended and all we are doing is reliving our lives for the millionth time. We continuously are reborn, grow, and die. We have deja-vou because we've lived it before. And this explains fate. We have fate because all we are doing is remembering...and what happens has to happen. Blah. My mind wanders way too much.

wish i could understand itVoted for by slimcrow.
as a kid i always used to have deja-vou i never talked about it cos it was hard for me to explain but now i come to think """""have i lived this life before ????"""""" but again i would think what would be the point of living over and over again ,there has to be something new .......

scientific reasons9from some website)Voted for by YouBrokeMe.
The basic idea is that there are portions of the brain that are specialized for the past, the present and the future. In general, the frontal lobes are concerned with the future, the temporal lobes are concerned with the past, and the underlying, intermediate portions (the limbic system) are concerned with the present. When these are all doing their normal thing, in normal states of consciousness, the feeling that 'something is going to happen will only come up when we are thinking about the future, worrying about it, anticipating it or making plans for it. The sense of the past will only come up when our memories have been triggered in some way.

Deja-vui or e.s.p. ?
This subject has become holisticated by the media and by charlatens but the reality is ( in my case experience ) this kind of stuff happens on a daily basis. From the colour syncrinisity before leaving or knowing the exact dimensions of ( what feels ) familiar cercumstances . In lamens terms the importance and merit of the scenario’s experienced unless experienced can not be fully explained scientifically but philosifically speaking ( in theory ) if you watch the water flow from your bath on a daily basis ( watch it spiral down the plug hole ) then in theory you deja-vu will hopefully seem more understandable and developed.

Very interesting, I've had this feeling numerous times in the past and I haven't had the words to describe it. Thank you for that bit of enlightenment for the day, lol. Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
