You haven't really given enough information to really say anything about the marriage. Obviously, you two are from different generations, but that isn't always a negative thing.
You two could be perfectly compatible in every way. Just by the fact that it is unusual, it will gather attention and maybe some people are predisposed to think that anything outside the norm is wrong. I certainly don't think that way, I think it's a great thing.

A personal approachMy oldest sister is 30 and her husband nearing 60,older than our dad. They've been married for around 8 years and have twin boys that just turned a year old. Two odd facts to this story are she met him by dating his son,her age,in high school. He also (having multiple degrees in many subjects) saw the signs of her cancer in the early stages and likely saved her life cause of it. So no,it was odd to start with but I no longer have a problem with it.Voted for by SenseiRidgway.

Females tend to be more covert about their irresponsible nature. Even in political arenas, females tend to look after the needs of smaller groups rather than the needs of the whole. That draws back to the evolution of social contracts, and how a woman who looks after her own primarily would be selected against a woman who was genuinely sympathetic to everyone's needs (and thus be used and abused).
Just because he is younger doesn't mean that he is any less mature than she. Not all men are equal, not all females are equal. It's hardly productive to be ambivalent about concepts like maturity.

There is NO scientific data that says a 28 year old man and a 28 year old woman are on different maturity levels, and that a 46 year old woman is on some different level still. Maturity generally STOPS somewhere, so even if girls mature quicker boys then catch up. And everyone has different levels of maturity anyway.
Falling in love with someone of a different age group is hardly Oedipal. Even if you tend to go for older women in general it doesn't mean your pining for your mother. Does a girl going for an older guy mean she wants her dad? Does a guy going for a younger girl mean he wants his daughter? Maybe a younger sister?
