Crap Luck, or Karma?

My life has been really chaotic the past few years. My father was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago,and my grandfather 3 months ago. We lost them both this October. The friday of Dads memorial the scheduled preacher lost his dad as well, also to cancer, and couldnt show. We have the financial issues shared by most of america, and are likely losing our home. I personally have had my share of tried and failed romances,my work hours repeatedly cut,and the responsibility of "Man of the house" thrown to me at 20 years old, guiding my unstable mother and grandmother. Throughout all this I've wondered why. Why all this drama? why has my life gone to sh**? Seeing how I turned my back to God long ago(Christians, dont preach to me,it just ticks me off),I looked to the idea of Karma, simply "You get what you give". Does that work in reverse as well? Is something amazing waiting at the end of the tunnel, after all the darkness is past? what do you think?

Karma is just yet another of man's inventions intended to make a cruel, indifferent universe seem like a fair place. It's no different to the Heaven/Hell deal - just another blanket for the scared.

Keep your chin up, try and come up with some plan to stabalise your finances, forget childish notions of divine retribution and make the most of life. Hell, you're doing better than 2/3 of the world already.

Remember this wise philosophy from some guy's dad on Twitter:

"People will always try to fuck you. Don't waste your life worrying about when it'll happen, just be alert when your pants are down."

It sucks to be so stressed all the time, so do as Noel suggested and try to find a longterm plan--but don't forget to give yourself some healthy "me time". You need to relax and unwind and forget your troubles. Jog, hike, sit around in your boxers, drink, play video games, read, be with friends. Whatever it is, you deserve to take some enjoyment in life.

PLENTY of people have a lengthy history of failed romances. It's a pity, but you'll keep going back to it for a reason. You'll find the one that's right for you.

We all have shitty things happening at one point or another, but also as Noel suggested we can't forget that we have it better than plenty of others. I live from paycheck to paycheck, sometimes with work so slow I only work once or twice a week. Just recently my company screwed me out of insurance temporarily through some loophole and I had to pay $1000 out of my own pocket for a root canal. It's virtually impossible to save money like this, and all I want to do is move out of the city to somewhere peaceful and beautiful--something seemingly impossible without money or a job lined up. But I do have a good life at the same time, and take plenty of time to indulge myself in these things.

Take pride in the fact that you've done things you've had to do at a pretty young age, and take advantage of the things you do love. Things will get better, eventually.
