I think your mistake here is, that you've just had a heated discussion with a pagan or whatever about Christianity, and now you feel really hurt and emotional and you place this topic. Do not try to debate when you don't use legitimate arguments, you can't base a debate on your own emotions. Maybe change the question? But I'm guarenteeing you now that all you'll get back is questions (not answers) like "Why can't you just let me believe what I want to believe?". Stop trying to change everyone, stop trying to tell everything what's right, because unfortunately - no matter how strong you believe in your God - there is a reason why people who aren't Christian aren't Christian. Maybe consider the fact that there is no such thing as THE RIGHT religion, just the religion that suits you best. I'm comfortable with my religion, so I don't around asking people why THEY can't believe it; I wouldn't care a thing if I were the only one who believed it - I know it for myself. Maybe you should consider thinking that way? Also; the person above here is right; your religion is the most popular around the world!! It's the 'smaller' religions that should be asking for attention and respect, not you. And those people don't ask for confirmation, like you, because they don't need it. Okay, you've presented a very good argument... if you're talking to a room full of Christian's, which you're not. I personally despise organized religions and all that is associated with them. That includes all the eternal perfect figure they raise up high and praise. Present me with documents that the man walked the Earth and performed miracles (besides the Bible). I mean actual documentation by people of his time period. We know a Jesus Christ existed, but did he really perform these miracles? Is he really the son of the Almighty? I personally don't believe, not enough evidence. Anyway, that was kind of off topic. The point is not everyone believes the same things and you should be tolerant and not force your views on anybody and don't be astounded when they don't agree with you.

God lowered himself in the form of a man and died and went to hell so that we would not have to go to hell. Only he could do that because only he qualified for the task.
Every sin will be forgiven against the Father and the Son but no sin against the Spirit will be forgiven, not now and not in the age to come. The main problem is that most think they understand what spiritual christianity is about but they do not understand it and therefore ridicule it. Most christians themselves do not even understand it.
Don't fuck with God, he loves you and has paid a high price to save your soul. Jesus came back from the dead and he raised others from the dead. It is a well documented historical fact that no one has disproved in over 2000 years.

"he beleived in us so hard he was shamed and killed" this is easily argued with mental illness. i'm not saying jesus christ was mentally ill, i'm saying it's not a very good argument or reason. the peace i feel in the middle of chaos is my own logic and appreciation of life, nothing whatsoever to do with jesus christ. it isn't hard for me to beleive in him EXISTING once, i beleive he existed as a person, but i don't believe i need to take him as my lord or whatever, i don't need to 'talk to him in prayer' to help me live my life.

Which I believe he does not, we have morphed and deformed his ingenious ideas of happiness and beauty into years of death, lies and corruption. You do not need a historian to tell you how many people have died in "The name of God". Jesus originally, never talked of Hell, or Sin or hate. Jesus believed simply in following a moral value which he belived would make people happy. This is like all Messiah's or Prophets. If Jesus returned today I believe he would be strongly disappointed in your lack of ability to see the world for what it is... Rather than victamize your believes. That is just weak.

See, the logic in this statement is flawed. You have to believe that he 'believed in us so Hard He was shamed and KILLED' as you put it. If you don't believe that than it is easy to not believe in him.
You're logic when stripped of it's fancy phrasing is saying, "Why is it so hard to believe in Christ when one doesn't believe in Christ?" You have to believe he died to save you before you can believe that he died to save you. Not a very logically sound statement. In fact impossible in my understanding of logic. One cannot know something before knowing the same thing. The knowledge comes at once, and involves a leap of faith.

Um, look, Ava Noire, I understand what you're saying, but you have to understand the principles behind Christianity to understand why people like LoverOfChrist, who earnestly and honestly believe what they believe, get so emotional over people not believing.In Christianity, the basic idea is that we were screwed, all of us were doomed, a world and life of misery only to lead to an eternal life of torment, that sort of thing. Basically, we were all screwed. God, seeing the course that the people were on and understanding that sin is part of their nature, chose to give up that which was most precious to him-- his son-- to take the punishment for us. In other words, God loved the world so much that he gave up his son to take what should have been OUR punishment for OUR sins, and made the path to heaven easier-- simply accept that Jesus loves you and is the one who saved you from an eternity of pain and accept him into your life, and that's it. The rest falls into place after that. God completely wipes your record clean, forgives and forgets the sin ever happened, and welcomes you home again. Basically, they believe that God will come to you if you call for him. If you honestly feel sorry for the things you did that hurt God and want to live a better life, God will take away the fact that it happened and you are "born again" into a new life, with Jesus as your first and foremost concern. You first concern yourself with the life to come rather than the life now, focusing first on God rather than your worldly obligations. In essence, you become "like Jesus", doing the things He would do, saying the things He would say, and being the person He would be in word, thought, and deed.
Also, they believe that God dances and rejoices when even ONE of his children comes home and follows Him. They believe that God is overjoyed and ecstatic when ANYONE, ANYWHERE gives up their life of sin and becomes like Jesus. They also know that God feels immense, intense pain when we ignore Him or don't ask for His help and His love. Thus, full, earnest believers, who really have given up their sinful life (that doesn't mean they don't sin, but rather that they have given up sinning and not regretting it and not asking for forgiveness), who are truly trying to be like Jesus, feel some of the same pain that Jesus feels when any one person doesn't believe. They have, if only a fraction, of the pain and sorrow in their hearts when someone rejects God.
So when someone doesn't believe, they want to speak about it to them, help them understand. True, sometimes they try too hard and end up pushing them away. But in the hearts of true believers, they just want them to understand God's love. That, Ava Noire, is why we are always talking about it.
Now I'm sure most of this you probably already knew and I probably just bored you to death, and you probably really don't care at all, but that's just the way I see it.
