Why bother making friends if eventually you're going to lose them? Are they really a caring friend or just some annoying person? These are just a couple of my questions. What do you think?

Why bother.Voted for by Illuminati x.
In my opinion, friendships are like marrages. Your stuck. People change. If you make a friend at one point in time and either they or you change. You usually can't stand them anymore. You can't just say "well, it's getting weird, I don't want to be your friend anymore". So unless you don't mind saying that, your stuck with 'em. Sometimes you just want to be alone and they don't leave you alone. Or, they think you need help, and you don't! Plus, I think people could get a lot more important things done if everyone would just keep to themselves. Some friends aren't even that accepting, so why bother if you can't tell them everything. Some might call this insanity, I call it logic.

yeah.... cuz friends rock.Voted for by Deadly Shame.
Because they can help you. I love my friends, and I couldn't live without them. If things get really weird, it's likely that ya'll will just grow apart, and friends rock. I think it's worth taking the risk that they are really just some annoying person, to see if you can find someone who could care about you.

Why be born if you're just going to die?

I actually do see your point, PoeChick. But for the same reason I continue pusuing relationships, I pursue friendships. I just find it fun--at least for a while. I kind of figure it's a fault of my own that I grow bored and weary, but don't really know how to change.
As far as friendships go, I just don't get that close anymore. I have lots of fun with people, will help them if they need help, but don't assume anything. I don't reply upon anyone and I do my best not get overly attached.

The point of having friends is so you can enjoy your time with them before they change
