how different would we all be if death wasn't inevitable?

  • Immortality= bad

I would like to quote Marylin Manson when he says "Without the threat of death there's no reason to live at all". Every accomplishment in life is based on the idea of wanting to be remembered after you go, if you never go, there's no point.

  • well...hectic

well this world would be even more overpopulated and there would be a lot of people out there depending on others assuming of course you still had to age. i think people would just die to get away from earth.

  • death isn't so bad after all

there would be no thing light the "unbearable lightness of being". we would do whatever we liked and disliked thinking that we should try everything in this loooooong life without fearing immortality. in a single word...life without death would mean chaos

  • Good Question!

Here's another one. How different would we all be if we were ACTUALLY AWARE of the fact that death is inevitable? Tell the truth, you're kind of taking that next breath for granted aren't you? It's really not yours yet and you've already spent it. We live in debt.

  • hmmm

i think this is a great question. hmm... well i think that some people live life as if this is their last day, even though there are many ways to portray this. you could live everything in the fast lane knowing youre going to die anyway, but i also think that it would open people's eyes. i think that people know they are going to die, but when you dont know you're going to die, youre nothing more than a child. a child knows nothing of death, so how would that separate you? you would live your life, grow old, suffer and then what? i think death is needed in this world. it helps so many people. the dead person is put to rest, and their families really begin to see things in a new light, realizing that they cant take things for granted.

    as Achilles says in Troy:

    'The Gods envy us.'

the gods are immortal and they can't take things for granted. but we never know when we will leave this place, so when we see things, it has to be more beautiful.

  • Of course we'd be different without death!

Without death, life would be meaningless. We fear the unkown, we fear death almost most of all other things, we believe death to be painfull, and other things like where we go when we die, or if we have souls, or vice versa, its a loaded question, quite provokitive. I love it. But I believe that we’d be even more selfish race if we surpased death, you never know. We could all be “dead” right now, but when we actualy “die” we are really re-born? Woooo TABOO! lol
