should the words "never" and "always be in the dictionary?

  • Yeahh.. I don't get it either. I mean, they're words. And they have definitions. So.. why shouldn't they be in the dictionary?

  • just a word

If "never" was not in the dictionary, would it "never" be used? I think another word will take its place. Word is just used as a way of communicating your meaning. If never or always is what you feel at the time, then its correct to say it. We all know human beings change, but the word did its job communicating ones meaning at the time.

Say what you want to say and ask what you want to ask. Sounds like someone got burnt by "I will "never" leave you, and I will "always" love you"

  • Yes, but...

Even if they don't really exist (because let's face it, they don't) they should be in the dictionary. I'm sure there are many other non-existant words in the dictionary to make people who beleive in the existance of those words feel comforted. Therefore, "never" and "always" should be in the dictionary if only to save all of the closed-minded people who are unable to think outside the box of reality the trouble of thinking harder. --Ivy

  • rarely true

Majority of the time there are exceptions to the rules. So when a person says this will always or never happen they then have to say the exceptions are. There are very few impossibles but many improbabilities.

  • huh?

I think, a word that is worthy of discussion, should "always" be defined. and Geekusmaximus(giggles at name) is correct enough. So "never"mind.
