What the Bleep Do We Know?

"What the Bleep Do We Know?" is a fascinating documentary discussing quantum physics as it relates to "reality" and spirituality. The discussion is by well known scientists and spiritualists, although some have suggested that there is some "pseudo-science" used to support some arguments.

Has anyone here seen this film yet? I really enjoyed it and in fact, watched it twice before returning the rental. I read part of a book a while back called The Holographic Universe, which suggested many of the same ideas as this film.

What are your thoughts on the ideas presented?

  • Unscientific

Most of the "experts" in the movie had questionable credentials, e.g., a woman who channels a thirty thousand year old spirit, a chiropractor, and fringe scientists. The producer of the movie is a member of a cult! It contained mostly new age crap.

  • technically...

Technically, string theory and sectors of quantum physics have yet to be proven experimentally. This is why Stephen Hawking hasn't gotten a Nobel prize yet, because we haven't found a way to measure the radiation around black holes. Personally, I prefer reading Nietzsche and Derrida, but that stuff on superlocation and the water in the metro was awesome.
