Spirits are as real as you and me, and by the words of Sylvia Browne, a WORLD REKNOWN PSYCHIC, they are NOT here to hurt or harm us. They might scare us, or influence us, but physically they can't touch us... and they don't guide us, that's your spirit guide's job, and angels protect us, not spirits. I've been a member in a local Ghost Hunter's Society for over a year now, and in that short amount of time, I can tell you PLENTY of stories. ^^ I've been in all sorts of different places, and that does help to play with the mind. Manteno State Mental Hospital may give you a feeling of sadness, deprivation, pain/torture, hopelessness. And a spirit that went through these things would probably be angry or damaging. It's true, "ghosts" trapped in that plane of existence would be angry, possibly depressed, or maybe mindless. But what I believe I've found out is: Emotion, memories and past experiences I think can materialize into something solid or with image at least. Shadow people and Demonology are things I've only barely gotten into. Where they come from and what makes a person one or the other after death, I have no clue. But from all I've experienced, even before I joined the Society, I can tell you. There IS something there. We just don't understand it yet. Bottom line is, people have been attacked by spirits before, scars, pushed down stairs, beaten etc. But the majority it seems like they just have a message they want to get across, and then they'll pass into whatever's there after this. I'm sorry, but she's NOT to be trusted. I'm a long practicing Traditional Witch, and I'm thankful that I didn't take any of her advice when I first started reading into the Study. Alchemy, spirits and such. But that's beside the point, just thought I'd put in my two cents on that one. ^^

Very bad nasties, they are. The harm they are most famous for is to decieve or trick us(Bible). They come as angels of light and spirits of kindness and do great wonders and miracles. The Bible warns us to avoid this fishing technique. That is all it is; a way to convince you that God is weak and the spirit realm is the wiser. I have heard,read,seen; many accounts where a spirit has started fires, caused collapse and physical damage.

i never used to believe in a after life but a few years ago i started doing ouji boards and since then there is no doubt at all in my mind as things that have happend have been to amazing to be human actions as for to guide us or harm us thats just a silly question as it depends on the spirit after all all they are is us but not living as we know it good spirits dont tend to be around anyway as they are at peace if you contact one then it normally will guide you and protect you if i chosses to bad spirits like to scare you for a laugh and you get trapped souls who will be quite force full in a scary way to make there situation known

There excist many diffrent spirits! have diffrent tasks! But they cant harm you!

I didn't used to believe in spirits and all that stuff but now I do. I believe in the Kabbalah where it says that a spirit can attach itself to you and will leave when its job is done. I also believe that because the spirit attaches itself to you in particular and for a reason, so if you change, the spirit will leave. I think the spirit has the potential to make you do stuff good or bad. You need to be very perceptive and 'do the righteous thing.' If you just remain firm in being good and a responsible person, you'll be fine. This does not mean you be perfect. We can be imperfect and still be good and responsible.

You did get one thing right. Ouji boards open a conduit to you and then they have you. evil spirits(demons) will not come near me ever. Because just as God told us in the Bible; wandering spirits fear those covered by Jesus’ blood. Yes spirits being evil, must appear as helpful, lost or kind. This is what they are commanded to do to us. It is not the act of kindness that matters here. What is important is; did they get you to believe in something supra-natural “OTHER THAN” God. YOur Ouji works, for sure, but at what price? your soul is lead to the wrong belief and will wander and be lost, as well. The ticket to heaven is simple believing in Jesus’ power to cover your sin debt. So the very best way to take heaven(a free gift) away from you is simply to convince you to believe in something or absolutely anything else!

They are real enough, in fact I think that spirits are simply souls without bodies, so when we die, we become spirits untill we deside it is time to come back to the world. I also think that the spirits don't influence our lifes in any way.

some are helpful and some are harmful but most are just lost and need guidance to reach the end of exsistance
