  You seem quite quick to chastise DJ, whose question is born of trying to understand his place in the universe, and then go on to say quote "what goes up must come down" as a law and not a saying, which is what it is. Universal law is the same everywhere true enough and is true wehter we are here or not, But both Quantum mechanics and Relativity theories always talk in terms 'relative to the Observer'. In quantum mechanics it takes the form of the more you look at something the more you have an effect on it. Relativity tends to talk about the observerse speed amoungst other things. Don't be so quick to judge.

  Exactly. Actually, if a tree fell down in a forest and nobody was around to hear it it wouldn't make a sound at all. Sound is an abstract, inferred quality, an experience only possible when a working human ear is present to interpret the vibrations. *"The human mind does not create or cause the laws to excsit. The human mind only classifies and discovers them."* Hmm. Whilst the classical view of the universe appeals to me greatly, I also find great relavance in the human-construct argument. On what logical grounds to you base the above argument? Do you not agree that you could never view the world totally objectively, totally outside of human perspective? So on what grounds do you suggest the universe would look the same, outside your eyes? Since you can't ever imagine this scenario, you are in no position to comment so definitely on what it would be like. Even "Classical science" doesn't guarantee the consistency of the universal laws outside human perspective, and contemporary theories such as M-Theory conclude, through mathematical systems, the existence of 11 dimensions. Do you see 11 dimensions right now? If we could, however, step outside our human minds, do you not think we might be able to envisage these dimensions, and other universal laws our mathematics proclaim exist? So really, the human interpretation of the universe is by no means an accurate representation of what the damn thing is actually like. These 'laws' (haha) could be totally different.

  don't detroy you own argument

  The air molecules still vibrate right when the tree falls down therefore there is still sound wehter you are there or not. how you hear that sound is interpreted by your brain, ok but it is the vibration of the air molecules that is sound.
