It seems man has changed little in the last 6,000 years. We advanced in tec. but only have moments of humanity. I wonder if we will destroy ourselfs before we evolve to a higher level of being.

Yes, we will kill ourselfes.25% Voted for by -TheLoneWolf-, AlaskaMoleman, Kei-Aira.
I think we will. The more technology there is, the more pollution, the closer we get to killing ourselfes. I think of technology like of a drug. We are all adicted to it, and it is killing us.

Natural selection. Some humans will die off because of "societies problems" but in the end the supreme beings will survive. The best of the best will outlive the rest. And so because some die others will grow.

Probably!16% Voted for by nanrek, Kei-Aira.
It takes far less information, effort, and time to destroy than to create. Any cretin can blow up a building in a few seconds which takes intelligent people months to build. The information explosion favors the destroyer over the creator. The increasing imbalance between information needed to create vis a vis destroy increases the probability that humans will eventually wipe themselves out!

who cares?!?Voted for by allinitsplace.
if it does happen... will it really matter? in a grand universe, people, a race, or a whole planet really doesn't matter too much (well, it does in a strange, string theory, buddhist doctrine sort of way) i think these sort of things have a way of sorting themselves out, the only question is, will it sort out in our favor, or against it?

Inevitably we will destroy ourselves, or nature will do it for us. After all, eventualy our solar system will die off, and of course there are limits to technology.

I have no opinion one way or the other, just want to know how others feel.

Totally agree!
me personally, i think that humankind is the stupidest creatures to roam the planet. everything was fine untill we had to go and mess things up for the rest of the earth. i do agree that the more technology we have the more pollution thus more killings of ourselves. if that makes any sense at all. our stupid carelessness has affected the entire globe and its starting to reflect back upon us. and its not going to get any better, just worse. Please register or login to comment!
