Yeah, I stand by my previous opinion. I think that a good philosopher combines freedom from intuition with creativity, and the capacity to understand some very strange stuff (I don't get a lot of it). But I think that the freedom from intuition is the most important.

and i usually have no opinion about things. but i think a lot.

philosophy separated from intuition? It would be philosophy no more. Philosophy is the quest for knowledge to get to some truth. You can't get to the truth without intuition. So a good philosopher will always use his brain but follow his heart. A scientist need not do that, he just needs to be methodical and analytical and so does not need to be intuitive.August 14, 2005
