Are we all conected, or we all not connected?

Are we all woven in together ("the blanket") and we are all the same and one no matter what we are or who we are or where we are? So the tree in Brooklyn, and the rock out in the pacific, and you and I, and the galaxy over there...are we all the same, are we all one together? Or is it that we are none of us connected, and we are alone in the universe? Each of us is by ourselves, and it is a sad and horrble place and lonely and dark place? And any connections we attempt to make will end painfully because we are seperate? Just basically though, are we all connected or not?

  • Connected to a certain degree

I am more inclined to believe we are all connected, though I do think we have some independence from everthing as well. I think that putting the two extremes together and you get what we have. Like in the movie "I heart Huckabees" where we are little pieces and there are spaces between you and I, but then we are connected in those spaces by littler pieces, and those pieces are seperated by tinier space, which are connected by tinier pieces, and so on. So we are connected but then not at the same time.

  • sure but not in a spiritual sense

In the sense that we occupy adjacent spaces and we can affect each other we are connected. We are connected to our environment because we can affect it and it can affect us but that is all.
