I don't know much about this but I think the farthest we can get is the fourth or fifth dimension.

I wonder if any other dimension is more fun than this one, if we would be able to float/fly/hover in another dimension, and if there are other beings in different dimensions. Would we be able to cope with the atmosphere of more complex dimensions?

You must have read about superstring theory, and the ideas about a hypothetical 11 dimensional universe. At any rate tests/experiements are in process to determine if gravity exists in more than three dimensions of space and time...although the idea that gravity could act differently in the time dimension somehow may be yet another place to look for the cause of it's tremendous strength on large masses yet comparatively weaker strength at micro distances.
