which is more believable to you; a fairy tale of a man climbing a tall tower with only a rope made of a womans hair, or a virgin giving birth to god's son? I really don't understand how they exlpect me to believe that a man walked on water, and another survived in the belly of a whale for three days, and all of these tales that are just as extravagant as those we were told as children. The only difference is that somehow there is a book that has convinced the whole world, (aside from a lucky few) that this is proof of God and his wonderful prophets. Am I the only one who refuses to believe all of these inadequete deceptions?

i don't believe most of the bible's stories and claims, they don't make sense to me and i don't see how others can believe them. dont get me wrong, everyone on earth has the right to believe whatever they want, and i respect that. but if you really think about it all, it has to has some holes in it.

In any case, as for your original point: They "expect" you to believe it becuase that's what faith is. That's all.

The bible is itself nothing more than one large contridiction. Example: All of mankind are born of Sin correct? Tell me then who wrote the Bible? Mankind... A Holy Book written by the hands of Sin... How dose one preech these ideals and belifes if he himself is no better than the Sin that created them..?

people have lost sight in what the bible really is... it is a bunch of stories... stories with morals... it's not REAL... i am not christian... i have not given my "faith" to the idea that the book is true... i have done research... i have done YEARS of research... if for no other reason than that i, too, question how so many people can contently devote their lives to an ultimately unprovable point...

The Bible we have now is not the original Bible. It is possible that things that were somehow related to the original, but the TRUE Bible was lost. Thus, though I do with some part of my brain, belive that there s such thing as god, the Bible is one thing that I do not belive.

I have the same problem
I go to a catholic school and they tell me all that time that you can not take the bible literally, the stories that they do believe in sound so outragious that I just can not believe. I used to be very religious, but now that the school is pounding this belief, I find more and more "holes" and it is getting to a point where i dont know if i believe in God at all.Please register or login to comment!
