although the Roman Empire will be revived in a different form in the last days. Since no modern mation is mentioned in Scripture, people often wonder where the United States figures in Bible prophecy, if at all. There are 2 possible answers to this question as far as I can see:
1. The U.S. may not figure in Bible prophecy because it’s possible that before the end times unfold, this nation could diminish in power and influence, or even be passed off the scene like so many other nations in history. Remember, America is not God’s chosen nation!!!
2. It is also possible that America will be involved in the revived Roman Empire of the last days. America is closely tied to Europe economically, socially because of its European roots, and militarily through the NATO alliance.
With Rome as the center of the end times commerical and religious empires, Europe will play a key role in Bible prophecy. So the United States can be very prominent in prophecy without being named simply by functioning as an extension of the Roman Empire through Economic and military support.
Another reason that Daniel only mentioned 4 kingdoms was that he was only dealing with those powers that were directly involved in controlling the land of Israel(God’s chosen Nation). Each of the 4 kingdoms in Nebuchadnessar’s dream ruled over Israel. Israel is the “centerpiece” of prophecy and everything else is related to that land.

you realy need to do more fact checking before you try to present such an ill informed case. just to point out, how do you know wich nation is gods chossen nation? Just because isreal claims to be the place the jews were lead, does not mean its the chossen nation. and besides, god does not choose sides in politics if you read you bible.
all that aside, there is no god, so get over your selfs and go read a book

Honestly, give me a break. America is so far from a chosen nation it is rediculous. So, you think it was all in Gods plan for the first white settlers to muder all of the Native Americans and take over their land? You think God sat back and enjoyed it when the U.S. attacked and conquered several foreign nations throughout the 19th and 20th centuries? Or maybe God enjoys the war on Iraq? Of course, he loves the idea of murdering innocent children in the name of Democracy! Give me a break

America is destroyed in Bible prophecyVoted for by Newtlover.
If the U.S. were to experience what some would call the “Rapture”, then it explain a lot in Bible Prophecy.
There was a minister out there that said something to the effect of “the only thing keeping California from sliding off into the Pacific Ocean are the Christians living in that state.”
If the U.S. experiences the Rapture and if one third to one half of the population were to vanish, then social, economic ,military, and political disaster would befall the U.S. Of course, this hinges on God not punishing the U.S. for all it’s past sin and leaves us alone after the Rapture.
Scheme of events to possibly occur after the Rapture.
1. the Rapture would destroy the U.S. 2. Global Pax Americana would abruptly end 3. Russia would invade Israel (See Ezekiel 38 and 39) 4. Russia would be destroyed by God 5. With America and Russia both shattered, EUROPE will be the dominant power in the world. 6. Israel having lost its protector-the U.S.-and having just been invaded by Russia will sign a treaty of peace with the European Confederacy. 7. The Events of Revelation 13 are now able to occur.

i didn’t say america is the choosen nation, i said you can’t prove otherwise. Did god tell you on the phone that it isn’t? and tell me, what foreing nation did we conqure? japan, they seem to have there own goverment. europe seems to be on its own. the philippians have there own goverment. or maybe we took over china, ya thats gotta be it! as far as killing the indigenous popluation of north america, everybody kills somebody. name of country never to have its army kill members of an other. and yes, we had wars with indians. go read your history book. and the war in iraq, maybe he does like it. god told the to knock down the WTC, god told them to blow up the train in spain. god told them to kill as many pillipianos as possible. maybe god wants us to kill all of them. and i don;t mean the iraqi people, i mean muslin extremists. yes, i made a comment to that effect. not to say other fanatics are better. christian fanatic kill less people, but still should not be killing anybody. britteny fanatics kill common sence, and should be dealt with. point being, use your reading ablility before you yammer on

or maybe we arent in the bible because the bible is false. one has to remember whom wrote the bible. and you should also remember that even in the bible its self it says that man lies. so maybe the bible was simply a way to control people, which it seems to have done quite nicely. so, their would be no reason to say anythign about america, or anything truthful for that matter, as the bible could simply have been meant to control a mass of people and not as actual testament as to what happened or what is going to happen. think about it.

Bible Prophecies Are Only GuessesVoted for by Andy Stephenson.
John had no idea about America and did not write about it. It is quite possible he was out of his head. Many scholars feel Revelations are confused writings and that any real focus was on the Roman Empire and the early Christian beliefs. My belief is that it has no present relevance. There is, of course, the likelihood that America will fall. Call me a prophet, but countries do that.

Now, don't get me wrong, but Daniel was never the clearest part of the Old Testament...i.e. you can interpret anything into it. For example: Originally (when "Americans" where a group of scattered tribes of Bering straight crossers) it was thought that the four kingdoms of Daniel were the Babylonian, the Medo-Persia, the Macedo-Grecian and the Roman empires. "Ah!" Said theologins, "He predicted it!" But then we have the British Empire. The theologians (Brits at least) had much the same reaction. As we go through the centuries, any new empire that popped up was considered one of the so-called "four". So what do we have now? Another so called empire. Now, at the time of the writing of Daniel, Rome had not yet begun to conquer. Nor had the Greeks really come into their own. Daniel is dated at roughly 350 BCE. I need not go into the details...it's necessary to know that before getting into the interpretation of end times (or whatever the heck it's called).

Yes America is talked about in the Bible. In revelations it is said that the Jews would be flown back into the promised land on the wings of eagles. Well as we all know in 1952 Isreal was formed as the Jewish homeland and well The United States Air Force flew Jews to Isreal from around the world. Now somebody please enlighten me....... oh yeah USA Eagle yeah looks clear the US Air Force (represented by and eagle) flew the Jews to their homeland (the promised land) in 1952.

Bible ProphecyVoted for by Beena.
How does it matter if America is or is not in bible prophecy? What is truth is that the prophets are not Gods but human and so likely to err. If they did some good and became God after their life here, that has nothing to do with prophecy. Why do people believe in prophecies so much? See what the person is actually doing. Most of the people in the Old Testament simply talk about their own life rather than bring something substantial to the masses like Christ did as is evident from the New Testament.

It is absurd to think that the greatest nation ever would not be mentioned in the bible. The bible clearly states that God will do nothing without revealing it to His prophets first. I suggest that you find and read "The United States and Britain in Prophecy". It is available on line for free. You can get it as a download or you can get the book. In any case it is free. Not only will this completely answer the question, I believe it is one of the best evidences for the existence of God.

You are right that the Holy Roman Empire is being revived. Daniel, as we know, is an end time book (Dan 12:4,9). For our time today. The Holy Roman Empire is the final resurrection in the form of the European Union. Headed by the Vatican, this will represent the beast of revelation. It is sure from prophecy the Great Britain (Ephraim) and the USA (Manasseh) will not be a part of this empire. Also from Daniel, we see the King of the South (Iran and radical Islam) "pushing" at the King of the North (EU). Things are happening quick folks, watch the news.

Prophetically, well said. What of the nation of the vulture, spoke of in Isaiah? what of Rosh(Russia)? You have a familiar style of writ. Jack VanImpe comes to mind. Also Hal Lindsay, a bit, throw in some Dr. D. Jeremiah.

Because I have eyes and the Bible clearly says. Whether you believe the Bible or not is beside the point. Maybe it is you who should do more reading before stating your ill informed case.
