Communism in ambush

Communism has stamped its mark on the 20th century-a mark of aggression and cruelty, bloodshed and tears. Historians have estimated that its ideology has caused the death of 120 million people since the Russian Revolution of 1917. These casualties include not only soldiers killed on battlefields, but citizens murdered by their own governments. The whole world has seen the pitiless slaughter carried out by Communist leaders. One hundred million men and women, from the elderly to young people and infants, lost their lives to this cold, hard, savage ideology. Communist regimes have deprived tens of millions of their most basic rights and freedoms, ejecting people from their homes and systematically subjecting them to famines, slavery in labor camps and imprisonment. Millions have been the targets of Communist guerilla groups and terrorist organizations, and still others have lived in the fear of becoming targets for their bullets.

What are this ideology's roots? Where was Communism born? How did such a cruel, bloodthirsty worldview find adherents and supporters throughout the world? Why did it come to power and flourish, dragging millions in its wake? How did it come to an end, with the collapse of the Soviet Union? Or has it really ended, or does it still threaten every country on earth?

Does this serious threat still exist in the world?

  • Communism Vs. Freedom

Communism is a life of servitude to the government. The human condition makes communist governments fail. It's a great idea in theory but not practical. What's more disturbing is that people try to push socialist ideas on the freedom loving in an attempt to promote freedom. You just have to ask yourself if people are retarded, excuse me "developmentally challenged" OK retarded. With freedom comes an economic system that is "free" a capitalist society where people are free to either succeed or fail due to their decisions. People, in an attempt to justify their horrible decisions, complain about being oppressed and poor because of capitalism, but what they don't understand is that capitalism didn't make them poor, their lack of ambition did. To further try to prove their point, they use the word "Greed" If you can define greed, I might be able to see your point, but no one has been able to do that. Greed doesn't exist. People use greed to describe people that are successful. and the whole of America, and every other country for that matter, hate the "successful" Why is that? Now don't get me wrong. I am not one of the successful. I am a working stiff just like everyone else, but I haven't misinterpreted my envy for the successful, for hatred. I worked in Cuba with people that were fleeing from Castro and his communist country, and I have to say that people have good hearts no matter what there political disposition. The people of Cuba truly love the idea of "Freedom" and it shows. I met an nuclear engineer that was with the rest of the poor refugees, from street sweepers, to shoe makers, to seamstresses. He was pulling people from the water and saving lives of others, trying to make sure they would be able to be "Free" He explained to me that his government sent him to Chekaslavakia to study nuclear engineering. He was an absolutely brilliant man who was paid the same as the street sweeper he pulled out of the water the day before they hit land. Now in this country, we reward people that are successful. If you were to rise yourself up from poverty and start a company that was successful, creating jobs in the process. You yourself would be dubbed as "Greedy" Think about that for a minute. You have pulled yourself up from a poverish state, and you did it on your own. Much like Bill Gates. and you are reaping the benefits for that, but in the media and the minds of America you are evil, because you had the audacity to pull yourself up from poverty, and make something of yourself.

  • Communism and The New Economics

I believe that communism and socialism will have a resurgence because eventually the supremacy of the new conservative market based economics will eventually wreak havoc on us all because only the rich will be able to afford the basic requirements of life such as education, health, food, water and shelter. Unless the public sectors are allowed to function once more then our society will descend into violence and disorder. We will not be able to call for police assistance because only the rich will be able to afford thier services and even for them it will be inadequate.

Something will have to give and that will be the order of civilization that capitalism needs in order for the so-called free market to function.

Therefore people will be forced to try other ecomomic models of organization such as Communism for relief.

  • Stalinism Isn't Communism

In America, Britain, and the so called "Civilized" Western World, about 80% of the time when someone says "Communist" they use it as a broad generalization of all socialists, communists, and yes, Stalinists. While Castro and Stalin were in no way real communists, as by definition, communism means "rule of the proletariat" and proletariat means "working class." The men who build, and maintain the factories are the ones who rule the government--to an extent, this can be described as true Democracy (not the American Corporate Republic), as, in any true Democracy, the majority would rule, and in any nation, the majority are the workers. And there are variants of "communism." There is Anarcho-Communism (True autonomy), Democratic Communism (Based on Voters), Council Communism (elected councils and senates make decisions), the Communist Republic (elected leaders, like presidents... i.e. America, but Communist), Authoritarian Communism, Stalinism, etc. In essence, Communism, is very much an economic system--NOT a political one. It can be coupled with any way of running a country. And as for that earlier guy, Communism isn't servitude of the government, it means the government serves the working class. And I don't see how any hard working man, or woman, can disagree with that.

  • COMMUNĘSM IN AMBUSH

Does this serious threat still exist in the world? Regrettably, yes. Communism is waiting in ambush!

This well of bloodshed, which has cost the lives of 120 million, still exists. Communism has covered the top of the well to conceal its insidious activities and camouflaged its surroundings, setting it as a trap for the unwary. Its outward appearance may have changed, its adherents' names may be different, but it still awaits an opportunity to wreak pain on humanity once again, as it has in the past. This book's vitally important purpose is to rip the mask off this insidious and growing threat and reveal the true face of the Communist ideology that has caused so much pain and trouble.

  • What is everyone's beef with communism?

It's a beautiful idea: No boss, just the people, evenly sharing the proceeds from a business/government. Why do you make so little? Because Bill Gates makes so much!

Stalin did some bad things, but he was really a fascist, not a communist.

The Anti-communism movement in America is second only to the anti-semiotic movement of Nazi germany. This is a dangerous, cruel road you're walking down.

The 60's were about love, not war, and I think that sticks here too. Religious people should know that god is love. This kind of hate is a slippery slope.

  • proof is in history

History show a pattern, which relates to communism, and that pattern is this; EVERY country that has embraced Communism as a system of government has had the same problems- Poor economic growth, poor economic strength, and human rights violations.

i can think of no communist government that has been an exception to this rule. In communist countries, there is no incentive to excell. if a rocket scientist makes the same wage as a ditch-digger, why take the time and effort to study rocket science? If there are no rewards for doing more than the minimum required, why would anyone make the effort? In reality, the system that claimed to abolish class, instead simply created a class-system of it's own. The nobleman was replaced by the inner-party stooge, the royalty was replaced by the party aparatchik, and the clergyman was replaced by the political commisar. but for the common man, the drudgery continued.

Capitalism is far from perfect, and even the staunchest capitalist will admit this, but at the very least, it enables social mobility and rewards effort with promotion, and excellence with wealth.

  • It is a lovely thing, however....

I think communism is a lovely idea, but in reality it would just fail. Proof of this is in George Orwell's Animal Farm. Sadly, greed is a human trait and it is instinctual for humans to be greedy, I mean if you were walking down the road and someone offered you a lifechanging amount of money, like five million pounds, I doubt that you would say no.

The pen is mightier then the sword problem is at the time most ppl could't read

ok and Facist are solcialist just in an extreme like communism,

but communism sprang from the ideas of a socalism in the french revolotion thought you can trace it back to anceint greek.and then the ideas a spread into europe coming to engals and marx, and eventually thee ideas came to lenin ,and so on

the ideas of communism are not that of war but of revoltion , if by force, communist dont see them selves as murders but as people doing what is best in the long term

and thats how it came to power ,but when you speak of communism you mean stalinism which in my opnion never should have been sense he forced it into communism which should be doen in steps

the fall off the soveit union was because of lenin's early death but it was not the end of communism , but communism is not a threat it is the two steps ahead of democracy in politacal evolotion

you could also go as far to say it is a relgion of science makeing it the enemy of most realgions and thus appears a threat

  • I at one stage
Was tempted to sway towards a communist ideology. Socialism is dumb. It gives those who don't understand power and how to submit to authority blind rule and anarchy through their vision in trying to gain their rule through self pity. Communism has many negative points and doesn't seem to work practically, but it does eliminate the need for competition, and creates a system whereby all can play a role in the success of everyone. It is 'communal'.

  • Well, you see...
In theory, communism would work great. There would be no war, no questions asked. Unfortunetly, humans are not your average animal. We have individuality. If communism were to come around, I seriously doubt it will last very long at all.

  • No, the love of power...
The real threat is the exploitation of any system by the human nature to embrace power to the detriment of others when given the opportunity. Of course not all humans do this, but the majority might.
The world in its current form (global capitalism) exploits poorer countries.
Natural resources are exploited for the sake of unnatural growth.
Employees are exploited as creating maximum turnover from minimum resources cannot be sustained infinitely, and hence at some point employees have to be exploited.
In general, when a deal can be made to the benefit of self, it often will be made despite knowledge of the suffering that it may cause to others.
Money goes to the shareholders, not the workers. You can inherit rich and stay that way without doing any work. Capitalism might here even be considered as a modern form of slavery, where the bright might earn moderate freedom, but the gross remain poor. Consider the current state of the world...

Democracy is as strong as the moral fiber of a culture. Without moral fiber democracy might lead to destruction (take the Nazis as example).

No friend, the love of power and not communism is the threat. Communism as Capitalism is exploitable by that love.

  • Constant contradiction
are u sure u aren't talking about a totalitarian state?
because most of what u have stated occurred in the totalitarian states more than communist states..
I can give many examples, one being during Stalins rule of the USSR. he used totalitarian methods, as did hitler in germany and disease, famine, a complete stop in production, unemployment and forced labour occurred. which also led to the great depression in America.

Communism has caused similar affects, but none so drastic as those caused by totalitarian methods.

none the less, socialism is the method society accepts as it is a mixture of communism and socialism, however if one looks at the end result, regardless of the suffering (not to say that the suffering should not be taken into account or should not matter) totalitarian methods ended up making both russia and germany stronger than they ever were before. Russia became an industrial giant. Maybe in some instances, extremes are the best solution when there is no other (no that it is morally correct)
