If animals don't see a mirror ever...

Do they have a clear identity of who they are? Do they need a clear identity? If not, why? Just curious!

    Well i never heard that animals cant see a mirror. And i have a baby pomeranian named Sassie and she sees the mirror all the time she plays and barks at it.
